There's zinc and lead in the weld of carpenter cloth so it's good you paint it! I had some sick birds in an old aviary I enclosed ... I didn't paint the wire I had some birds get sick but didn't realize it until years later. I had a bronze wing manikin finch and a chestnut/spice/society that just were lethargic.
For sure yes I did do that on my last aviary and loved it. I did try the white to match the white wood that had painted as well. But probably tradition to black for the wire down the road. Thank you.

Great content keep it up. And I know you must know this, but if you paint the wire mesh black, you could see the birds even better than the white.
Yes for sure. I tried the white to match the color of the wood. But you are right the visibility is better with the wire painted black.

As many have said..... Black wire, plasticote black paint.

If you paint your wire black the wire will like it has disappeared and you will see your birds better.
Try one door with the black paint and see the difference.
