Thing was Jeff gushed over that car, how it was a piece of local history, and it being a barn find etc. All that paperwork and history the old man who had it accumulated on it, he preserved it for so many years. What’s that guy’s take on this car being used for this project? I felt like he thought it was going back to it’s old glory. I’d of much rather seen it in the Dakota but I understand why your going this route, just kinda bums me out. What ever you do don’t go cheap on that thing. I couldn’t believe you said you were thinking about putting the original drums back on the front. Remember Mopar gave you 20k so use it. There’s lots of good aftermarket parts out there do your research and take advantage of them. This is a huge opportunity.

Jeff is a little ocd and that's is going to be their biggest strength and weakness I'm sure when it comes to building street style cars that group including the old man and Billy have more than enough knowledge not to need to bother tin soldiers for advice. Time is going to be there biggest issue because other people in this challenge have whole teams working daily to build these cars they basically have day jobs on other channels this has kind of been just a side deal so far but it is growing

Did you consider looking at or talking to Magnum Force and possibly doing a k member conversion? They have some sweet setups that will give you a lot of room, and you never know they might work with you on coming up with something for the Hurricane 🌀

Hide it in the cage or in a fire extinguisher hahaha just a loose “vacuum tube” under the hood that you zip tie infront of the turbo inlet at the last minute 😂😂
So many memories of my 73, especially when you got to the headers. I fought to install them on mine with the engine still in it. I had the hookers and there was no slip pipe. I finally got the front end apart and with the car 4 feet off the ground laying on my back for 2 days I got them installed. I had to, I had to take the car to work Monday.
I had the same issue on my road runner except when I did get it back together, it was sometime wee hours Monday morning and I had to get a nap and drive to work with open headers cause I was out of time to get the exhaust modified to connect to the collectors. Putting headers on these Mopars is not for the timid, that’s for damn sure!!!
I'm a lot like Jeff. The perfection seems brutal (and it is) but oh my God is it worth it in the end. Sometimes I wish I wasn't like this because in some ways it's debilitating. However my life and life experiences made me who I am. (All of us)

Relocating radiator may not be conducive to good drag AND drive events...a LARGE 4 core aluminum radiator maybe what you need. Billy and Robbie could make this happen...

The hurricane motor is sitting in vehicles with the firewall move back and larger trans tunnel. Good luck with whatever you end up doing. Thanks for the update. God bless and as always be safe.
I assumed they would go ahead and slice into the firewall in order to set the engine back a few more inches and may possibly need to massage the transmission tunnel some also or just cut it out and take a donor from a challenger to weld in its place. Question tho is , can they cut the firewall and move it back enough without getting into the dash and having to butcher all that up?
My dad passed away couple years ago now and he absolutely loved old hot rods . He had tons of cars back in the day his fastest one he said was the 70 Plymouth duster 340, so it’s pretty awesome to see y’all fixing one up ! Definitely brings back some good memories of his stories. This thing is going to fly with that twin turbo inline 6 .

Should have just taken the car to the new shop where they had lifts and extra eyes and brain power to pull this together since time is not on there side. If Jeff team leads and you’ve got Tommy, Alison lead mechanics, billy as extra eyes and welding support, Uncle Bucko as chief fabricator moving firewall and tunnel , and Tanner wherever a hoist is needed, Miss Vicki making sure everyone is fed and they have the team meeting room to set up a white board to keep track of progress and schedule, they could blow this thing away easily!! Oh, and no, I did not forget Bill. Someone has to be in charge of filming and content but there’s not much for him on this engine since there isn’t a carburetor, lol 😂

You guys have got to make some quick decisions and move out. The master cylinder would be the least on my worries. That can be relocated inside the firewall. Bigger problem is the firewall needs to move back and that steering box ain’t gonna fit. I’d get that front end off and take out what is in the way.

No to the Dakota. Stick with it, you can make it work with the Duster. That MC needs to go for 4 wheel disc anyhow. Get the motor in and then revisit the brakes. Lots of MC options( underdash 90 degree, floor mount, etc)

Turbo John shows a break master that moves the resivors behind the fire wall. Yall may want to consider contacting him and asking him about it. It was in one of his Mustang rebuild videos.
Was it you Tommy that I heard say "gasser" ? Cut all that crossmenber, steering box, relay rod and torsion bar stuff out, and put a straight axle under it. That way the engine would sit lower, solving the tunnel issue, and I think it just might sit below the master cylinder too ? After it was all test fit you'd have to fabricate another big crossmember around that oil pan in order strengthen the frame up again. I've done this sort of thing back in the 60's working outside in the dirt with Flintstone tools, so I'm sure you all can do it. Plus it would look cool as hell out there at RKN !!

If anything running no hood will be even more flex on the swap and probably get you more media coverage from Dodge to help grow the channel at the event! Also I love the orange and think that would also be a good move to stand out against the grey/black of the background at the race, the more noticed you guys get, the better the opportunities, just think how lucky you are right now and its simply the beginning!
Love the channel guys. But at time we can't hear you. Please be aware of that in editing. Compression/Limiting is the best way to make sure you volumes are equaled out more no matter were you're standing or what volume you are talking. Or at alest a lot more so. LOL. Rack and pinion steering conversion, floor mount brake master cylinder, and custom oil pan. Seems like the best way to go.
