FX’s Archer is an animated, half-hour comedy that follows Sterling Archer as he navigates the changing landscape of the spy world. I had no idea Ron was played by her real life husband. Makes this scene that much better that they’re back with each other now on the show and in real life.

This was such a fantastic sendoff for Jessica, and the fact they put her with her husband in that shot was just the cherry on top. Made me tear up and I had to explain why to my girlfriend, which made her full on cry.

Hearing Jon's voice break near the end of the read and the shot of Mallory and Ron on the beach made me cry quite a bit when the finale aired.

I straight up started tearing up the first time I saw this scene. Jessica Walters was one of a kind. And the fact that they even included her real life husband for Archer (who also sadly passed away years before her) to play Ron makes it even more heartfelt.

This was absolutely the best send-off for both actors and characters. Thank you to FX and everyone on the Archer team for not only giving this awesome show, but the most beautiful way to allow us to say goodbye to both Jessica/Mallory and Ron.
I love when a character can exit a show without it ending in some shocking death but a happy ending instead

"Always know where the exits are" were Desmond Llewelyn final words to 007 as Q, one of my favorite farewell scenes. I think they wanted to give Mallory the same sentiment. We all know what's coming but we remember her as she always was: clever, happy, and abusive to the help.

What makes her death more sad for me is that she passed away at my birthday
The fact that Mallory, unlike the other spymasters on the show from the early seasons (Len Trexler and Nikolai Jakov) got the happy ending, living in utter comfort on a tropical beach locale, with her beloved (retired) business tycoon husband and getting out of the business on her own terms, no doubt in ironclad anonymity where no enemies or lovers can find her... it's what her character deserved and what we needed as an audience. It was perfect.

It’s amazing how this show’s characters are some of the most selfish sociopathic irredeemable characters yet you still care about them
Malory wasn’t a character I really liked but this farewell still gives me chills even without the knowledge that her voice actor had passed
The thing to cherish about this is we'll all carry her in us ,with us ,she has now become a part of us ,people say the half saying, "don't cry because it's over ,smile because it happened" when the full thing is 'don't cry because it's over ,smile because it happened ,and you are a part of it now.'
Perfect send off. Cheryl playing with a blowtorch was so dumb, but stopped me bawling. Headcanon that Archer's faltering is just HJB faltering irl and they kept it in the recording

I started watching this series in quarantine, curiosity simply won me over and I don't regret it, I became fond of the characters, especially Malory, and the truth is I saw this episode today, and I must admit I wanted to cry, Malory was a great character ❤️

I still like the show, but without Mallory it's not the same. she really made the show shine. I saw her in an episode of NCIS recently and she was hilarious. I haven't seen any of her other work I know she did a lot though.
