Hi Gianni, I got it.............I was looking right at the insert slot on the board, but it was so thin I could hardly see it......your video was very helpful and fortunately I saw what I couldn't see........my wife reminds me of this all the time..........Thanks again. Cheers, Chris
Copies made on my Epson XP-330 printer were blurry but now they look great after performing this cleaning of the scanner. Thank you for the excellent step-by-step instructions.

the flat white cable was really short and tight in my XP-440, I couldnt get it out or even see the blue end bit...
Hello Gianni, I need HELP with my Epson printer. I was removing the Scanner cover to clean the printer heads and the scanner tape pulled out. I can't get the blue tab at the end of the tape to slide back in to the board? I have watched your video, many, many, many times. As far as I can see there isn't a slot on the board for it to slide in, connect to, lock onto???? The magnet the tape goes over has a slot in it which you can feed the tape through but this doesn't appear to do anything. Thanks Gianni for any suggestions you might have.

It's a spare parts, I think you should contact an Epson reseller to order it
I have a question, I have the exact same all in one printer , however the glass was broken during the shipment. Is there any possibilities I may use the printer separately after removing the whole scanner?
I think you can remove the glass but not the whole scanner. The printer will send an error related to the scanner

I have an Xp850 and I get scanner error 0x10 (sometimes 0x20) . I have removed the adf unit and top part but I now find difficult to open the scanner unit without using force. Could you confirm that flat screwdriver will not break the plastic? Thank you 👍😃

Wish it was like that for the epson xp950 but the lid doesnt undo like you showed. If you have an xp950 maybe you could do a demo so I can clean all the ant muck out of the scanner tracks
I thought I was the only one with an ant problem. They got into the scanner section and left a big smudge on the screen, which showed up on copies. I cleaned it with this method, now the printer won't work. Says "scanner problem."

in copiers i use flat soft brush to remove dust and never let blue marks on the surface of the scaner, because it's verry sensitive part of all of the copiers
my ET2550 printer won't print, it was suggested by a repair shop, the scanner assembly needs replacement. Is this far different than cleaning the glass?
you can try to remove and cleaning the glass, checking the connectors but if there ar ebroken parts it will not work
@@viandant5 I took mine apart and the scanner roller came out; I thought I put it back in correctly, but it won't work now.
Is there any special way to reattach the right hinge. I am getting hard time putting the right side back. Thank you

The flat cable from the scanner to printer was not put in the video through the ferrite ring near the cable connector.
Does that have an effect?
can epson l6170 disassembled the same way??

THE SCANNER COVER (WHITE HINGE) HARD TIME GETTING ATTACHING TO IT
i have followed the whole procedure but after i i tested the scanner,i noticed that only middle half of the picture being scanned is captured,what could be the problem?
if the settings are correct try to disassemble and reassemble the unit. the leds could not be in the correct position

It could be everything. Try to reinstall the driver, for start.
