I just finished making this. It’s the first custom board I’ve ever made. This felt like a great start. It wasn’t too complicated and didn’t have a lot of wires. I couldn’t find a good way to cut the pcb and just left it as a rectangle. Getting the 5v and GND pins out was a bear for me because I’m also new to soldering. Great example and easy to follow! Flashing the firmware was a bit different for me. I suggest watching the video on the firmware page as well. I had to change mine to com port 1 before I could get it to flash. Afterwards everything works great! Thanks so much!!
I was thinking about making another but adding a GT-U7 gps module that I have sitting around. When wiring it can I wire it to the same TX and RX pins used by the ESP or do I need to choose different pins? I was also thinking about making it flippable to photo out and not just self. I’m assuming I can just wire it to both sides. I’m also worried that because I’m so new that I’m over simplifying things. Thanks for the great videos! I’ll be stoked to see the Lilygo vid!
Very good videos. I wanted to ask you. I have a Esp32 board that I occupy with weirdo marauder and I want to add a cc1101 antenna to the esp32 board and make the 2 1, it is possible and could you guide me at which points to weld and the connectivity to the flipper?
Unfortunately I can't get the firmware flashed. I tried it several times by bridging the two pins and pressing reset. I also tried it by bridging them while plugging in as shown in the video on the website but no luck.
Hello again from Spain, I appreciate your tutorials, as they are very helpful for an inexperienced person like me. I would like to tell you that I was able to successfully flash the ESPCAM with the web installer. After this, the 5v stopped working, only devices connected to 3v work. I have measured with a voltmeter and the maximum is 1.5v. Is there a solution for this? Thanks for your help.
@rayj1988 Thanks for your reply, yes indeed I activated the 5V, I have already made several attempts with different devices, everything that is connected to 5v the flipper does not recognize it, it does not even give the option to change to external module. Somewhere I read that it is convenient to connect and disconnect the modules with the Flipper off to avoid possible damage, that may have been the problem. For the rest my Flipper works well and I can work with 3.3V.
is it possible to just put a esp32cam on a OF prototype board any ware? Or do I need to put it in a specific place (I dont know yet how protoboards work/connect together)
They are different boards so you need different firmware. ESP32-CAM you need the MAYHEM firmware other ESP32 you need the specific Marauder firmware flashed to it.
Keep on getting “Failed to initialize” , I’ve done everything how it’s told + the way the other way like the video in the dicription , can someone help me ? Thank you
Have you double checked your wiring is correct pin 13 from flipper is going to U0R pin 14 to U0T. If you follow the steps in my video it should work especially when it comes to the programming.
No , still don’t want to boot , if I I get esp32 WROOM , is the wiring gonna be the same , I just want it to have boot button .I want to skip the flashing process touching these pins

Glad it helped, it always feels great when you make something yourself. I might make another DIY for the Lilly Go T-display in the future.

Another great video thanks! I just finished making the CC1101 and NRF24. I can't wait to make this one too!
Well done, extra props for a detailad and well shot video. Subscribed
I love your videos, please make more!! I really want to make the ir sniper
We are all patiently waiting for that video
You're a diamond mate ❤️ amazing video and very clear
Thank you.
sick work! keep on like that!

Can u plz make the pihole with screen vid 🔥🥰
Hi, great video. You make difficult things easy. I have the Momentum firmware on my flipper, is it necessary to flash it??... thanks a lot.
@welinfull Yes, you need to flash the esp32 cam for it to work. Then in apps - gpio - Mayhem you have all the apps for it.

@welinfull did you turn 5v on in GPIO settings?

33:50 the best tools !!
With this I would already have wifi? Thanks for all your videos.
Yes, this has wifi.

It doesn't matter. As long as you have the wires going to correct pins should be fine. I made it like that as I think it's the best placement.
Can you make iButton module? plz...
Hi.. what difference (except cam) between.the esp32 s2 and the esp 32 cam? Do it need the marauder firmware for esp32cam and esp3s2 two?
