    Rosie's is usually an 8.5 in my mind. I would say your pie was pretty representative of the norm. I think that there is grated cheese in the low moisture mix which is where the saltiness comes from. It's probably the best round pizza in Monmouth and Ocean in my view.

    • @pizzareviewsonthego
      @pizzareviewsonthego  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apparently someone said in this comment section that the recipe changed ever since the head pizzaiolo left Rosies. This pie looks different than the ones that other people reviewed on YT.

    Very nice. That, to me, is about as good as it gets on the color, and the sound. Once again, I didn't hear anything about the basil, so this time, I went through the video again before I said anything. This time, I'm pretty damn sure you really didn't have anything to say about it LOL! I'm wondering if maybe you should start eating the pizzas from the back end first, so you always get that crispy first bite and it helps boost your enjoyment of the pizzas as a whole. I'm joking, but kinda not. Sounds like this was one of those pizzas where all the elements considered separately gave it a high aggregate score, but no one thing about it really quite launched it way above average for you. 8.4 is certainly a respectable score, though. I'm sure the place is a hit with the locals. Great to see a review from you after what felt like a much longer time than it really was. I hope you're having a great summer.

    • @pizzareviewsonthego
      @pizzareviewsonthego  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct this time! I forgot to mention the basil! Probably because there was so little of it on there but it absolutely was fresh. Places like Rosie's are so busy that the ingredients don't sit around for too long...and when I order a Marg from a typical bus stop slice shop that only sells regular cheese pizzas, chances are that the basil is gonna suck...as will the fresh mozzarella. That's because they don't sell many Marg's. This here was Rosie's standard pie. And If you saw this pizza last year, it looked different...someone commented on this video and said that the original pizzaiolo left, and he left because his recipe was changed. Not sure what's going on...but ... this pizza looked way different than it used to. Still a very solid pie nonetheless. Thanks man, I am enjoying the outdoors more, and I hope to continue to produce 2 videos a week.

    LOL! The lady wasn't shy was she! That was funny. You where discussing Pepperoni, I know you had it a million times. It always taste the same too me. You probably disagree with that maybe, that's just me. That's why usually go with ground sausage. With that said, still think Pepperoni is a perfect fit for pizza. A lot better than beef and especially chicken. Just stick to the plain and you don't have to worry about it.
