Absolutely fantastic video!! Thank you so much. I’m a 51 year old lady and I fixed my fiat on the side of the road, watching this video. Super grateful to you. Love your hat 😊
Before you replace the switch spray the end (which should pop out) with WD40 High Performance Silicone Lubricant. One fault is the switch sticks in the 'in position' so when the brake is applied it does not pop out setting off the dash warning. You can see this if you apply the brake. The end of the switch should be free moving.
Hello, I have one question: Does the engine check yellow light open because of the faulty asr/hill holder switch? I see that after you solve the problem and you ignite the car the engine check light turns off, but at the beggining of the video you don’t start the car, so you have on both lights(engine chech & asr lights).
Just in case anyone finds this helpful video like I did and needs the part numbers here they are... 46840510, 60669020, 60801906, or 1543231. I ordered Mopar 60669020 for my 2012 Fiat 500 TwinAir 900cc UK spec in Japan.
I have already replaced this and the warning lights are still on, however I was silly and didn’t disconnect the battery could this be why it hadn’t taken the warnings off
Hill Holder Unavailable - ESP Unavailable. Red EPS failure, hard steering, MES Fit Software codes for brake light ( all great on brakes ); plus C1001-049, internal fault steering column My once restart after 2-3 miles, clears, steering feels natural, only 24,000 miles I'm thinking not Steering Column but earthing problem or main ECU? Anyone similar
Impresive! 😃 Your video assists me to understand how to fix the faults. I have a same car (2008 version) from HK, and also got the same error issue! May i know how can you buy the Hill holder device? because i cannot find this in HK.
I have ESC HILL HOLDER + TIRE PRESSURE + CONTROL ENGINE with abarth. I changed the brake contactor.... still have the problem. Brought it to Abarth 2 times. They never fixed the issue.
Did you get it fixed? I swapped the brake switch and throttle body thus far. Next is the accelerator pedal itself. I also suspect the harness in the rear tailgate.
My wife's 2018 abarth has just thrown up the exact same warning lights. Searching yt I found your comment. Did you get it fixed? And if so, what was the procedure etc. Many thanks in advance
YOU are a super star, spent £12, literally 2 mins to replace and all errors all gone, best youtube fix ever..
May I know the part name & number?
