Disc golf is in the state we’re in because everybody is way to greedy and no one hesitates to hit social media immediately. Ngl everyone from pros to companies think they’re gods gift to the world.
Occasionally I wonder if professional disc golf will ever become mainstream or at least escape its novelty-sport status. Then I watch these videos and realize that I’m probably just living in a fantasyland.
@@Akt1onDiscgolfI agree but part of problem is that the sport is about where the horseshoes game is now so the economy has a big impact on the game because of countries poor choices in leaders, they can screw over the sport because of how expensive they can have everything to appease the $$$ corporations for the side that takes the bribes from these companies.
It is certainly true that it has always been dead easy to make a small fortune in the disc golf business: simply start with a large fortune, and wait a while. :P
TSA has always gone above and beyond in support of more than just players but to all that support the game. Being screwed by an external business that effected their bottom line greatly was handled as best they could - better than any other with similar situations. They got gobsmacked and felt the pain and ate the majority of the fall out. Yes - there seems to be a ripple effect but no tsunami that could have been to the family that is TSA. The four owners have always been honest and forthright to everyone in their family. How many can say that? How many times have I spoken out in support of any manufacturer? First time for everything - and TSA has my support - they have earned it by being the best small manufacturer out there!
How about disc golfers get a job and give up on the disc golf industry if they can't support themselves.. keep it a hobby and support local tournaments and communities
This year Top Link went through some strife with a divorce affecting the business. This seems like the most likely culprit if it was a Canadian business. Unless Ace Runners being bought out by Innova did this.
Touring pro Randon Latta who just had his best year so far is leaving for he tour. Without support from a disc manufacturer it just doesn’t make sense to go out and lose money year after year.
@theDiscGolfWorld Guys. I love the channel and appreciate the content you work very hard to create. But...this is a complaint post, so please consider what is said. You need IMO to take better care in a couple aspects of your videos. 1. If you are posting texts or internet comments, allow us time to read it. You obciously feel it is important enough to include, but then remove it in about 3 seconds, or cover it with another comment quickly. Its like going to a website on your phone and ads keep covering what you are trying to read. This is common in your vids. 2.your sound mix needs work. Sometimes you are hard to understand. Not sure if its a poor mic or if its too close to your mouth, but sometimes you sound like you are eating lunch while talking. 3. Since you guys are becoming the primary source of disc golf -news- i rhink you should consider reaching out to people and doing a followup interview on important topics, like major rule changes or things like was the guy from PDGA said about walkups in this video. You could have an impact. Anyway keep up tbe good work. You guys rock.
I think MVP kinda messed TSA up recently as well. TSA was supposed to run a special edition soft ethos praxis for discgolfdealsusa, but it just ended up being pretty much a standard ethos run and there seemed to be a breakdown in communication somewhere between MVP/TSA/discgolfdealsusa. After the release didcgolfdealsusa sent out an apology and offered discount to every who bought the ethos praxis’ thinking they were actually soft ethos.
not surprising nobody has a spine to actually do something... Of course "coaching a troubled soul" was the answer... These people live in fairy tale land 24/7
It is crazy how people will lend someone money and just hope they pay it back. In 2014 I captained our city’s men’s club team. My buddy captained the mixed team. They had a rookie player borrow 4K from teammates over the summer and at the end summer bounced.

There is so much greed and drama in the sport it is setting back it's growth

@@Akt1onDiscgolf All sports and industries are like this. Check out Soto signing with the Mets over the Yankees because of a security guard.
It's so far away even if these things weren't happening.

True enough. The PDGA is 48 years old, and this is how far we’ve come…

I know those guys personally and I know they work their freaking asses off everyday.
They do make some great discs. And their glow is fire
I think TSA has handled this as well as they could. I don't own any of their discs but will be buying some in the future.
TSA discs are fabulous! The Mantra is my favorite, and the Pathfinder is among the best midranges out there
Greed and bad decisions. Disc golf getting a dose of reality.

Tsa makes great discs. I hope they don't go under
There not going anywhere!
Sidenote Jordan Castro is Steve Dodge's son-in-law
And son of Steve Castro who had that brand making the good clone of a stiff Magnet.
Hey Chat GPT, write me an apology letter for stealing other people's money.
I don't know much about Thought Space, but I definitely respect them a lot more after watching this video

I believe the DGPT should require players to start their run-up on the tee pad, especially since they have standardized them for ProTour courses.
No chance niche til the end

Tell me you've never run a business without telling me you've never run a business.
