glad to see people reacting to after school in 2024! if you do a part 2 you definitely have to react to bang! although i also recommend flashback, shampoo, and because of you. after school was the first group under pledis entertainment (later home to seventeen, fromis_9, nu'est, and tws). they have a very famous subunit called orange caramel their member kahi basically helped found the company and she personally recruited and trained the other members of the group as well. they are considered to be the best 2nd gen gg when it comes to performances. as you can see they learned pole dancing for a comeback, which was actually very controversial at the time and helped make headway in destigmatizing pole dancing in korea. they also learned tap dancing and how to play in a drumline for different comebacks as well. truly they put on performances that weren't seen before or since in kpop, theyre absolute legends

It was really great for fans and they even had an audience of current idols who were fans growing up including seungkwan from seventeen who is from the same company as after school!

The youngest in the Ah video was Bekah, who was 19 when it came out, and their eldest and leader was Kahi, who was 28 and is famous for being a dancer for many other artists years prior. They really stood out well when they debuted because girl groups then were either mostly cutesy with sexy undertones, while After School skipped out on the cute and went for confident and sexy. After School's leader Kahi helped in founding Pledis, which is now famous for having Seventeen. Kahi was famous for being BoA's dancer, and when BoA's manager years later left SM to create his own company, he brought Kahi along. She helped in scouting and training all the girls who would end up debuting with her in After School. She even had a hand in helping train the first male trainees in Pledis, who were the Nu'est boys and a few of the Seventeen boys.

We can even say OC passed AS popularity with Catalenna. They had a graduation system so members left and added over time. But all the members are still very close till this day. Some members had a reunion for a show (Jungah performed being 5 months pregnant) after many years yet killed it. U must watch the show. U’ll become a fan.
