Even though I started out as a Wii guy, I got an Xbox 360 later and loved it also. One of the greatest consoles ever. HALO, MINECRAFT, COD, FIFA, LEGO STAR WARS (Ni No Kuni). Such an icon. I love it and miss it so much.

I got a rarely used xbox 360 (elite) about 3 years ago... never had a console in my life before. I love using it everytime and collected a huge used game library for cheap. I know the 720p/1080p 30fps isnt great, but jeez there are so many good games that I missed in my childhood. Love this thing so much!
For me the 720p/1080p 30fps isn't that big of a thing, because it doesn't matter. As long, as you have a blast playing the games who cares about that? Yeah, it might be bit jarring, after you have played newer games, which are 60fps. But having fun with the game is what counts, if you ask me.
It kinda shocks me that the 360 came out in 2005. I was born in 2002 and remember playing with the 360 around the time when I got into primary school in 2009. The last game I bought for it was Lego Jurrasic World, which came out in 2015.
Agreed. This was my first console ever and I basically grew up on Xbox live. I'm 22 now and to this day it's still my favorite console. The controller is better than the Xbox One controller as well because the sticks have more resistance and the shoulder buttons/triggers are better as well.

The first time I played some Kinect Adventures and watched my dad play Gears of War (I can't remember which one but he played a lot of 1,2 and 3). When I was a bit older my dad bought Assassin's Creed 2 (I was probably 5 and a half) and he and mother taught me to play game because I wanted to play it and it was *really* fun and soon I became a Assassin's Creed and Gears fanboy (I was scared of Gears at first especially the title screen music but I loved it later) and I got every single Assassin's Creed game and Gears of War game that came after (and also Assassin's Creed 1). I never really played Halo, I only found out about Halo in 2016 or 2017 when I got Halo 4 without knowing what it was. I also played COD BO1, Amazing Spider-Man 1, Batman Arkham City (a bit), Dragon Age 2, a bunch of legs games and I still play games on the 360 sometimes. Well I did get my Xbox One S in 2017 but I am switching to PC (well I already own it but I have to wait until 'full' lockdown ends in the UK to actually get it so 2nd December). And also I am 13 years old right now.
Its backwards compatible, you don't need a 360 for it. And if you use it on an Xbox One X or a Series X it will add 16x anti-aliasing to the game automatically. There are benefits to playing older titles on these new machines now if you have the money.
The 360 isn't at all pointless today, as i really don't wanna fill up my harddrive with old 360 games, and instead play them right of the disc on the og hardware.
I had an Xbox 360 E for years, I had it from 2013 till 2017 when I got a really good trade in deal of $250 to trade it in for credit towards a Nintendo Switch. I miss it lol.
Nowadays you can find 360 consoles at thrift stores a lot of the time for quite cheap, I got one two years ago for $16. If you want to experience that magical console again, maybe hit up some local thrift stores! 360/PS3 stuff is abundant in them now.
i remember sitting hours in front of my TV with my older brother, playing Minecraft. We spent hours, days making a joint house together that we didnt end up finishing. I started up my consol to find that my word was still there, just as we left it.
Wish I could find one that cheap... Cheapest I can find them is around 50-60 bucks.... I have an OG Xbox though I got it brand new in 2003 and it still runs like a champ. I did remove the capacitor though to prevent and leaks on the board. I also recently got a ps3 slim when a family member passed away. They hardly used it and I mean it was shocking to see how clean this thing was when I opened it up... There was a little dust on the fans but that's it... There wasn't a layer of dust or anything like that and it looked like it may have been on for 100 hours total give or take.... Works fine doesn't overheat obviously and they had bought it new so no issue there. I was the first person to open it up it still had its warranty sticker. I use it for ps3 games every now and then but I don't really want to use it as a dvd or blu-ray player because I dont want to add wear and tear to it for no reason. Same with the OG Xbox its strictly for games for the Xbox my top 5 are forza motorsport, L.A. RUSH, Turok Evolution, Soul Calibur II, and Enter the Matrix. The OG Xbox really stood the test of time... Especally on the games that support 720p and 1080i the 480p games are a hit or miss on modern TV's. For the PS3 the top 5 that I own are Gran Turismo 5, Midnight Racing, Assassins Creed Black Flag, Rachet and Clank, and Jax and Dexter. Heck im also still rocking my OG Nintendo DS that I got the first year they came out for Christmas... Loved me some Asphalt Urban GT and I played a ton of Pokemon (ds versions and GBA versions) It was dope being able to keep a GBA Pokemon game in it along with Asphalt Urban GT it was absolutely amazing... Though I will admit that one hasnt really held up to the test of time... Not like the switch will hold up anyway I mean wow the graphics were awful on the first DS.

@@eliahaj2233 it means they are all used or refurbished but that doesnt mean they can't be sold for the foreseeable future. That's the entire point of refurbishing consoles is so they continue running like they are supposed to run. You'll still be able to find them in thrift stops and game shops for the foreseeable future. Prices may go up though the older they get but that's life.

Never had a 360 myself but I did play a lot on cousins' Xbox. We played the heck out of Minecraft and Halo Reach, and I loved Forza Horizon 1 to death.
I’m 60... had the play station 1 and original Xbox the day it came out... up graded to the Xbox 360 slim... still have both of them... the play station is long gone... waiting to get the series x but I can’t find one... game pass ultimate is a dream come true!
Absolutely brilliant console. Such fond memories of it and many hours invested in it. Been a PS1, PS2 and PS4 man, but this absolutely trumped the PS3 in my opinion. So many good games, and really opened up online play to the mass market. Takes me back to a fun era and reminds me of happy times 👍. Always remember the first time playing it in a game shop. Was blown away by the graphics. Was such a big step forward from the previous generation + introduction of HD gaming. I still think the games look great today.
@Test Subject 4624 yes true that's if you've come from the original system like I and those who haven't changed their name since the 2012/13 you can have the opportunity to still use the original 15 character Xbox 360 system instead of this 12 character system. We Gamers with decade old accounts get access to stuff that others don't and it's great hehe.

Loved the 360 and to this day am still collecting for it and trying to get a full worldwide set. Best games on the system to me were Enslaved, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Earth Defense Force 2017.
The Xbox 360 was my first gaming console... at least for online gaming. I made a lot of good memories on that console. Left 4 Dead 2&1, Minecraft, Call of Duty Black Ops II, White Noise. Thankfully I never got the red ring.
I am mostly a playstation player because I had all the Sony consoles since ps1 but I remember back in the day when I had a ps2 and I tried the 360 my cousin had i was so shocked of its graphics and it's nice controller mad respect for the 360 because in most multiplatform games it was much better than the ps3 without a doubt I would love to own one one day

Great video. I’ve been gaming for a long time and to me The XBOX 360 is the greatest console of all times. My favorite games was Forza 3, Halo Reach, Alan Wake, Dante’s Inferno, Gears of War 2 and DJ Hero. I’m super excited for The XBOX Series X because it’s giving me 360 vibes. The XBOX Series X will be the first console I have ever purchased day 1.

9:10 THIS is why I still play my Xbox 360. I don't care that there's a remastered version released this year, I don't care about better graphics or updated hardware. I just want to hear 30 Seconds to Mars every time I put the disc in.
You’re not alone in that. Digital is nice for convenience. But, if your account gets compromised or you get banned for some reason, you’re outta luck and can say bye-bye to all those purchases you made. That can’t happen when you own a physical copy.

Great video man. Have to say, this is probably my favourite console of all time. Grew up on the PlayStation 1 and 2 (and love them - probably spent thousands of hours playing both, especially the PS2), but I feel the leap to HD gaming was an absolute game changer. Will never forget the first time I saw 360 gameplay in a local game store. Hooked up to a HD TV….. I was blown away. Couldn’t believe the graphics. This felt like the first truly digital console to nail everything. Loved the design, interface, controller, online play. This machine had the lot (and that’s before we even mention the games)!
I do not see it or being 15 years old already. I Remember getting the 360 two days after it launched. I feel like the time machine is going way to fast. This seems like yesterday when it was released. Times were way better in the 2000s than the 2010s. Starting with 2011 things were going downhill. I do not feel like the gaming market today is what was back in the good old days.

Skyrim is definitely my most played game on the 360. I actually bought it like 6 different times... don't judge me. I had a PS2 for years before I was able to get my 360 in 2009/10 and it was a MASSIVE jump. I still play my 360 for the few games in my collection that won't work on the xBox One. Still probably my favorite console to this day. So many fond memories!
I cannot picture it being this old already. Why can’t time slow down. I remember buying the 360 4 days after my birthday. This was a time when gaming was so much better than today. I never owned a Xbox one and do not plan to either. The time machine is going way to fast now.
Both of my uncle's had Xboxes and gave them to me and my brothers. My mom's brother had the arcade one, and my dad's sister husband had the regular one with gta5
I think what is most funny about this console is I still find games new and sealed for this console in stores sometimes. Not too long ago, the local Kaufland was selling Red Dead Redemption GOTY edition for just 20€. Sure, it was in one of those newer Xbox One cases which are incredibly cheap compared to the old 360 DVD cases, but 20€ for a Rockstar title filled with content enjoyable to this day is quite the deal.
I got the OG 360 for christmas 2006. My brother and I had asked for a Wii, but they were all sold out so my dad got us a 360 instead. We were disappointed on xmas morning but quickly realized how big of an upgrade we had gotten from our GameCube. I never did get a Wii since the 360 handled all our gaming desires. I will say, there was a cost of it being a year earlier than the PS3 and Wii. The product felt rushed and flawed... because it was. No HDMI, no WiFi, no HD DVD or Blu Ray, no rechargeable controller, limited HDD capacity and replacement options, inconsistent UI, and of course, poor noise and thermals. Ours eventually red-ringed. Microsoft fixed it for free however and we still enjoyed it greatly. TESIV oblivion, COD4, Halo 3, and Modern Warfare 2 being some of my favorite titles.
This New Xboxes will be even better (at least i hope) then the Xbox 360 era. I grow up with the Xbox, and the Xbox 360 was my first videogame console with Left 4 dead 1 in 2008. An exclusive that the Playstation Players never had.
Xbox Live really was a pioneer, and it started on the Xbox (although, to be fair one could argue that it had its roots in the Dreamcast.) Online certainly was a thing on the Xbox, but not really on PS2 outside of SOCOM and FFXI.
Mine still works surprisingly. The original 60gb version. Used it so much during the summer holidays at the time too. Guess I was very lucky mine didn't break!
I have the 360 Slim and I STILL play it. It's my favorite game system of all time. It does everything right and has everything I need. Super smooth, easy to use and fun to play
I have a ps3 slim I got from a family member... They hardly put any hours on it at all... I opened it up to check if it needed a cleaning and I was blown away at how clean it was... There was a little dust on the fans and the vent holes but that was it.. There wasnt a layer of dust on everything or anything like that It was just the vent/fan and it wasnt caked on or anything.
best console ever made. i remember seeing it advertised in my local PC World (a once English PC/tech shop that merged with another) and seeing the Halo 3 demo. i had so much fun playing this console. and may i also add that this was at a time when I feel most gaming devs had passion in what they did, instead of looking to release a game for higher shares and pay to win (I'm looking at you Blizzard-Activision!)
If you want to get into gaming, I'd honestly start with the 360. Even in 2020 (or 2021 for that matter) is a very affordable means of getting into HD gaming nowadays and is one of the cheapest consoles to get on the second-hand market, with most of the variations below $80 in price. Most of its games are also still readily available and can be bought for well below $10 in most cases, meaning that the 360 won't break the bank either. I'd reccomend the Xbox 360 S or Xbox 360 E models for the best deals, the main difference between the two being that the S has a optical port for advanced surround sound systems and a few more USB ports. Lastly the 360 also doesn't require a persistent internet connection to function, so if internet access is unavailable or at a premium you can enjoy the whole 360 library without having to connect to the internet even once.
my first own console was the superNES, after that i had a ps1, the OG xbox and then, after finishing basic training during my military service, i bought a 360 halo3 edition with the 20gb harddrive. back at the time i always said the super nes was my favourite console, but in hindsight i have to say there's no console i spent more time on and had more fun with for longer time than the Xbox360. it truly was the golden age of gaming for me, from 2007 when i bought it through to 2015 when most of my friends switched to either newer consoles or pc gaming.
in Brazil , we play until today , it's the standard gamer console ( besides the ps2 , everyone has one ) , because a XONE is like the price of a Seriex X for you
The beauty of 360 gaming is games just boot up. There may be a small, 10 second download, but you are gaming within a minute in most cases. And if a game is on the HDD you can play it without connecting to the internet. Thats some log cabin gaming. Long live the 360.

Halo reach, halo 4 . Cod ghosts I really enjoyed on the 360 aswell. Minecraft obviously . I did enjoy farm SIM 13 and 15 on the 360.

@@eliahaj2233 it means they are all used or refurbished but that doesnt mean they can't be sold for the foreseeable future. That's the entire point of refurbishing consoles is so they continue running like they are supposed to run. You'll still be able to find them in thrift stops and game shops for the foreseeable future. Prices may go up though the older they get but that's life.

Absolutely brilliant console. Such fond memories of it and many hours invested in it. Been a PS1, PS2 and PS4 man, but this absolutely trumped the PS3 in my opinion. So many good games, and really opened up online play to the mass market. Takes me back to a fun era and reminds me of happy times 👍. Always remember the first time playing it in a game shop. Was blown away by the graphics. Was such a big step forward from the previous generation + introduction of HD gaming. I still think the games look great today.

@Test Subject 4624 yes true that's if you've come from the original system like I and those who haven't changed their name since the 2012/13 you can have the opportunity to still use the original 15 character Xbox 360 system instead of this 12 character system. We Gamers with decade old accounts get access to stuff that others don't and it's great hehe.

The difference from 360 to the One, or the One to the Series X, or hell arguably even the 360 to the Series X, is no where near as big a leap.

Loved the 360 and to this day am still collecting for it and trying to get a full worldwide set. Best games on the system to me were Enslaved, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Earth Defense Force 2017.
I still use the xbox 360 slim to this day and I gotta say i it's an amazing console and is still surprisingly usable in 2020

The Xbox 360 was my first gaming console... at least for online gaming. I made a lot of good memories on that console. Left 4 Dead 2&1, Minecraft, Call of Duty Black Ops II, White Noise. Thankfully I never got the red ring.

I am mostly a playstation player because I had all the Sony consoles since ps1 but I remember back in the day when I had a ps2 and I tried the 360 my cousin had i was so shocked of its graphics and it's nice controller mad respect for the 360 because in most multiplatform games it was much better than the ps3 without a doubt I would love to own one one day

Great video. I’ve been gaming for a long time and to me The XBOX 360 is the greatest console of all times. My favorite games was Forza 3, Halo Reach, Alan Wake, Dante’s Inferno, Gears of War 2 and DJ Hero. I’m super excited for The XBOX Series X because it’s giving me 360 vibes. The XBOX Series X will be the first console I have ever purchased day 1.

Oblivion was my favourite game, I booted the old 360 up and completed it again during this lockdown.
Bonkers how much fun Oblivion still is to this very day. Even the facial expressions still entertain.

Recently I was playing the 360 on a 4K TV, and Forza horizon runs smooth and appears very crisp at what I’m assuming is1080p.
I think I’m one of the few who still like to only use hard copies of games over digital.

You’re not alone in that. Digital is nice for convenience. But, if your account gets compromised or you get banned for some reason, you’re outta luck and can say bye-bye to all those purchases you made. That can’t happen when you own a physical copy.

My all time fav was NFS Hot Pursuit 2010. Even now it's my fav game. The graphics are so realistic even after 10 years.

@@CustardCream22 Yeah Microsoft bet on HD DVD, and Sony on Blu Ray. In the end the Blu Ray standard won and Microsoft's bet on HD DVD failed. It's a bit like the Betamax-VHS war.

Great video man. Have to say, this is probably my favourite console of all time. Grew up on the PlayStation 1 and 2 (and love them - probably spent thousands of hours playing both, especially the PS2), but I feel the leap to HD gaming was an absolute game changer. Will never forget the first time I saw 360 gameplay in a local game store. Hooked up to a HD TV….. I was blown away. Couldn’t believe the graphics. This felt like the first truly digital console to nail everything. Loved the design, interface, controller, online play. This machine had the lot (and that’s before we even mention the games)!
I do not see it or being 15 years old already. I Remember getting the 360 two days after it launched. I feel like the time machine is going way to fast. This seems like yesterday when it was released. Times were way better in the 2000s than the 2010s. Starting with 2011 things were going downhill. I do not feel like the gaming market today is what was back in the good old days.

Life is so hard for many people
Skyrim is definitely my most played game on the 360. I actually bought it like 6 different times... don't judge me. I had a PS2 for years before I was able to get my 360 in 2009/10 and it was a MASSIVE jump. I still play my 360 for the few games in my collection that won't work on the xBox One. Still probably my favorite console to this day. So many fond memories!
Grand Theft Auto V is definitely my favorite title on Xbox 360 - played it for hundreds of hours for sure))

I cannot picture it being this old already. Why can’t time slow down. I remember buying the 360 4 days after my birthday. This was a time when gaming was so much better than today. I never owned a Xbox one and do not plan to either. The time machine is going way to fast now.

I think what is most funny about this console is I still find games new and sealed for this console in stores sometimes. Not too long ago, the local Kaufland was selling Red Dead Redemption GOTY edition for just 20€. Sure, it was in one of those newer Xbox One cases which are incredibly cheap compared to the old 360 DVD cases, but 20€ for a Rockstar title filled with content enjoyable to this day is quite the deal.
Sega Genesis was my first console. My favorite console of all time is probably the Xbox One X, but I did appreciate the 360.

I got the Xbox 360 in 2005 I can’t believe that much time has passed. I had a lot of fun times with the console generation. 😎
I got the OG 360 for christmas 2006. My brother and I had asked for a Wii, but they were all sold out so my dad got us a 360 instead. We were disappointed on xmas morning but quickly realized how big of an upgrade we had gotten from our GameCube. I never did get a Wii since the 360 handled all our gaming desires.
I will say, there was a cost of it being a year earlier than the PS3 and Wii. The product felt rushed and flawed... because it was. No HDMI, no WiFi, no HD DVD or Blu Ray, no rechargeable controller, limited HDD capacity and replacement options, inconsistent UI, and of course, poor noise and thermals. Ours eventually red-ringed. Microsoft fixed it for free however and we still enjoyed it greatly. TESIV oblivion, COD4, Halo 3, and Modern Warfare 2 being some of my favorite titles.

This New Xboxes will be even better (at least i hope) then the Xbox 360 era. I grow up with the Xbox, and the Xbox 360 was my first videogame console with Left 4 dead 1 in 2008. An exclusive that the Playstation Players never had.

Xbox Live really was a pioneer, and it started on the Xbox (although, to be fair one could argue that it had its roots in the Dreamcast.) Online certainly was a thing on the Xbox, but not really on PS2 outside of SOCOM and FFXI.

I have the 360 Slim and I STILL play it. It's my favorite game system of all time. It does everything right and has everything I need. Super smooth, easy to use and fun to play
I have a ps3 slim I got from a family member... They hardly put any hours on it at all... I opened it up to check if it needed a cleaning and I was blown away at how clean it was... There was a little dust on the fans and the vent holes but that was it.. There wasnt a layer of dust on everything or anything like that It was just the vent/fan and it wasnt caked on or anything.

best console ever made. i remember seeing it advertised in my local PC World (a once English PC/tech shop that merged with another) and seeing the Halo 3 demo.
i had so much fun playing this console.
and may i also add that this was at a time when I feel most gaming devs had passion in what they did, instead of looking to release a game for higher shares and pay to win (I'm looking at you Blizzard-Activision!)

If you want to get into gaming, I'd honestly start with the 360.
Even in 2020 (or 2021 for that matter) is a very affordable means of getting into HD gaming nowadays and is one of the cheapest consoles to get on the second-hand market, with most of the variations below $80 in price. Most of its games are also still readily available and can be bought for well below $10 in most cases, meaning that the 360 won't break the bank either. I'd reccomend the Xbox 360 S or Xbox 360 E models for the best deals, the main difference between the two being that the S has a optical port for advanced surround sound systems and a few more USB ports.
Lastly the 360 also doesn't require a persistent internet connection to function, so if internet access is unavailable or at a premium you can enjoy the whole 360 library without having to connect to the internet even once.

I just achievement hunted this game and still am. I'm at 47 achievos out of 75 so far on the 360.
my first own console was the superNES, after that i had a ps1, the OG xbox and then, after finishing basic training during my military service, i bought a 360 halo3 edition with the 20gb harddrive. back at the time i always said the super nes was my favourite console, but in hindsight i have to say there's no console i spent more time on and had more fun with for longer time than the Xbox360. it truly was the golden age of gaming for me, from 2007 when i bought it through to 2015 when most of my friends switched to either newer consoles or pc gaming.
Even MGS5 ran on the 360.
in Brazil , we play until today , it's the standard gamer console ( besides the ps2 , everyone has one ) , because a XONE is like the price of a Seriex X for you

The beauty of 360 gaming is games just boot up. There may be a small, 10 second download, but you are gaming within a minute in most cases. And if a game is on the HDD you can play it without connecting to the internet. Thats some log cabin gaming. Long live the 360.
