Another great edition of the Diary, enjoyed the in depth look at the new sprayer and fair play to you if you managed to take all that knowledge on board in 4 hours of tuition. Still enjoy watching the Challenger one of my favourite tractors.
Headland tramlines will have to be spot on or wipe out of boom end. Nice to,see hedge row management in place Challenger and cultivator making cracking job getting some air into soil. Will fertiliser spreader match new tramline system ?
Yes your right about headland tramlines, but I trust George’s drilling 😊. Yes the fert spreader will easily cope at 36m, I think it can spread upto 40m with good fert and little wind.
It is limestone, we just call it chalk lol. It helps the water from the soil get into the drains easier. Especially on clay soils. The sprayer seems spot on, looking forward to getting to grips with it, glad you like yours.
@@JDautopower lol thought so! Any better than 40mm clean stone? We are on chalky clay, it gets very stiff and think the drains want all the help they can get… but I always remember that the old tile drains didn’t get stoned up

You'd need qualifications or a degree in computer sciences and electronics to set up the new sprayer from watching this video; it would give me brain melt just trying to remember everything you need to do to operate it. I like the increased use of drone footage as it takes the weekly videos to a whole new level, and the music being used compliments it well.
Please do not put music on when cat crawler goes past pulling hard it needs to be heard, I drove cat dozers for years and could listen to that engine note all day

Why do you use chalk on drains? I’m assuming it’s more like lumps of limestone?

No I don’t think clean stone is any better, like you said backfill stone wasn’t really used on tile drains, progress I suppose…….maybe 😂

I agree brilliant sounding machine, but sadly the drone doesn’t record sound and the film would be silent.
