There's no "real" answer to how many hits JR was responsible, but our best estimate is 6. And yes they were close later in the '70s and after. Carrozza is still alive and in MA.

Sorry, I can't remember the name of the cop or book. The book mentioned that Kerns and a few other guys from Winter Hill went down to Miami(early 80s?)with machine guns to rob some Cubans of millions in drugs.
