This man is a genius...I wish he was my lecturer they way that he explains things and breaks it down helps me to learn and understand the topic better. Thank you Mr Cleaver..x
Really hated Eu law, and having to revise for it. You made me actually enjoy this topic and understand it much better than I did. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day for making these videos. You are an absolute life saver!
Marcus! I passed my EU Law Exams in May! Just wanted to let you know how much your videos helped. Honestly! You are a life-saver and I could not have done it without your videos! :)
+Chris Irategeka That's amazing, congratulations! I'm sure your own hard work was the main factor but if I helped even a little bit then it was worth it!
you should be lecturing in the no 1 university in UK You deserve an award and i say it again you deserve an award. Teaching is not for everyone. However, you are without any doubt competent to become a well seasoned academia. Thank you for contributing to my being among the best in my exam through your fantastic lectures. continue to grow from strenght to strenght Mr Cleaver.
These two videos have pretty must saved me :') I have my final EU Law exam on Wednesday. I was in such a mess over FMOG thank you so much!! you're awesome!!!
Marcus, your lectures are fantastic! I'm really struggling with EU law this term and these lectures really break down topics for me! You are super smart and very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you so so much for your clear and organised videos Marcus!! You have a really calm and relaxed atmosphere around you which really helped me calm down😊 You just saved my European law exam🥳
this video was so so so so helpful thank you so much- you not only taught us the topic in a clear way but you also gave us a few analytical questions to consider for an essay.
Thank you for such a clear and consise way of explaining this area of law. It has given me a very clear idea on how to approach an essay question I'm working on at the moment.
I am so greatful that you spent the time to make these videos, you have carried me though my LLB... I still hate EU law with a passion, but without you I wouldn't have a foot to stand on.... Love to meet you one day and thank you in person. I cant thank you enough my friend.
Excellent presentation on the ground that this makes complex matters translated into easy to understand the whole gamut of issues on the other hand it is also very important to learn that what kind of arguments and counter arguments are necessary to reach out the goal of achieving good credit into the account of exam. results. Many thanks for your kind efforts !
I can only repeat what has been already mentioned here... thank you so much! Coming from a different academic background, suddenly having to understand EU law is a huge challenge. Your videos are helping a great deal :) thanks again. Great job :) And please, keep on with the fun tone here and there! Especially when making fun of Germans and their obsession with beer, haha. ;)
Marcus I started my partime law degree nearly 4 years ago and in March I pray to finish. Your videos have truly helped and clarified all the years of hard work.. What I want to know and maybe you can help, is how do you how exactly which legislation applies to a matter?? How does one break it down to a particular legislation?
Just wanted to drop an appreciation comment 🥰 Thank you so much! Your videos helped me a lot and I am surprised that I got an unexpected result 🥳 got 10/12 and all thanks to your incredible videos 🥰
Marcus, 2 weeks to the exam, just watched your all videos on EU Law, came out with a First!! You're a genius. Brilliant. Ironically, the lecturers who I paid over £9,000 for a full academic year, didn't get me to understand EU Law as much as you did in just 2 weeks! Do you do any LLM Modules at all, or LPC? It would be massively helpful!
Hi Marcus ! Thanks for your video ! Have you done any video about free movement of capital or free movement of services and establishment ? I couldn't find any of those on your channel.
i literally I have my exam today at 9:15 in Ireland. I have chosen to prepare for the Commission, Article 102 and Free movement of Goods in Article 34 and 36. Am taking a gamble but am sure these will appear LOL
Your actually making one of the most boring subjects for me quite bearable man. Thank you. Please please keep up the good work . May I also know whether the whole EU Law Syllabus is on your page so I can study from you rather than attend lectures? and I also will share this with friends, you are a great teacher and you make things simple. You deserve more views . Thank you and god bless you man :) :)
Your videos are very clear and helpful! Thanks for uploading! However, I am still unsure about the actual definition of 'selling arrangements'. I cannot find any clear definition anywhere.
+mhw.konings I know what you mean it is really quite vague. I always think about it as anything to do with the way in which products are sold, e.g. advertisements etc.
I just found an example that someone used. They said that "no advertising beer" would constitute a CSA, because it would affect both domestic beers and imported ones. It can not be an MEQR either, because imported beers may still be sold without having to make any changes to the product itself, but they could be put at a disadvantage because domestic beers are already known and not being able to advertise their own beers would make it harder to penetrate the market. Does that sound right?
In the Netherlands, fireworks from Poland are banned because they are to dangerous. Why doesn't the principle of mutual recognition apply to this? is it because of article 36?
In Germany "Polen Böller" is just a common phrase for illegal fireworks rather than referring to their country of origin so I'm guessing it's the same thing in Holland.
This is a great video! in my lectures we discussed situations were national laws effected ways products could be used in a MS. In the case of Åklagaren a rule stated that jet skis could only be used on navigable waterway or waters in respect of which the local authority has issued rules permitting their use. is such a case a quantitative restriction? how would i go about answering a problem question with this sort of issue x
Hi, can you please help me with this - In France, national law requires that beer can only be sold with Trappist label if it is produced in monasteries (which is the case here) and has an alcohol percentage of at least 13% (but in Belgium beer it is 10% or more). France has one monastery producing beer, and the beer has an alcohol percentage of 13%.
Is a requirement of inspection on foreign goods with foreign importers having to pay for that inspection but nothin required of domestic goods dealt with under article 34?
The rule of reason is considered as a mandatory requirement under derogations. But if cassis created mutual recognition as rule #2, its not a derogation correct?
that was a fantastic and helpful video mate. can you please upload Services and Establishment lecture as i have my exams on 13th May and would be very helpful. Cheers :)
This man is a genius...I wish he was my lecturer they way that he explains things and breaks it down helps me to learn and understand the topic better. Thank you Mr Cleaver..x

I definitely owe this brilliant man my degree. Thank you Sir.
he basically summarised 60 slides and 4 hours of lecture videos in under 30 minutes, i might just have a chance in passing.
This is seriously good - love the Uterus comment too. Keep it up, if you've ever done trusts and equity or asylum law please do more videos!

The EU playlist is fairly comprehensive so you should be able to find most things on the syllabus here.
Could a measure be both a quantitative restriction and MEQR? What is your opinion as to a ban on internet advertising? Thanks🙏
When is a ban a qr or an MEQR? If it’s a ban but only on products that contain a certain ingredient what would it be?
