- This is a cab ride video in the Ex Great Northern F-7 #274 locomotive between Garibaldi Oregon and Rockaway Beach Oregon, currently owned and operated by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. Take a ride with me and see what I, the Engineer, sees from the cab of a 1951 F-7 Diesel locomotive while we pull one of our first Spring Break trains of the 2023 season!
I can’t get over how good that thing sounds. The super charger whine is unbelievable.
Fantastic video!
I’ve ridden the OCSR countless times over the years.
Love the history of this line.
I actually replicated the whole route from Hillsboro to Tillamook on Trainz Simulator 2019 with a combination of SP, POTB, and OCSR operating along it.
This engine GN 274B was at one time set up to burn bunker oil . What a mess. Ran her many times.
What's the "highball" stands for?
It's an old fashioned railroad slang term giving you permission to proceed.
@@Tank245 Thanks a lot
now that would be a blast!!! what an awesome view!!!
Next time you're in Oregon, If we're running during that time, OCSR is bringing back cab riders!
@@Tank245 fantastic! will keep in touch about it...thanks!
