The way she says “I’m your villain” and the production around it makes it sound like she’s coming to the realization for the first time, like a lightbulb over your head.
God!! The utter desperation in the lyrics - the BEGGING yourself for the ability to let go - is so fucking beautiful because its so true! She isn't talking to him really; She's talking to herself and imagining the things she wishes she could get the chance to scream at him because she still hurts and I just....

This is such a lovely and sad song-gives me traitor vibes tbh.
This has quickly become my favorite on the album. Could we get a music video for this one? The lyrics are pretty literal, but maybe you could do some silly gimmick, like a superhero and supervillain plot, with the boyfriend/new girlfriend saving the damsel in distress, meanwhile you're just the villain constantly kidnapping the princess/prince to no avail.

@@Geoooooooooo I just think if it was a man admitting to refusing to leave their ex girlfriend alone, not taking no for an answer, and showing up at her new partners house drunk, making threats, and having to be physically forced to leave, this song would be received a little differently.
I don’t dislike the song or the singer, I just think it’s a clear example of double standards. People tend to over react to certain things when it comes to men(cancel culture, assuming physical abuse), and under react when it’s a women, like how this comment section has zero criticism or even acknowledgement of red flags and toxic behavior.
