I appreciate the little radios you've showed; the screen has a decent resolution and the text is appealing. Not sure about the pricing, and the extra step necessary to use all of the K-type accessories that many people currently own. It was probably not well thought out by the designers. Woo hoo! Thank you for this series of N76 videos. I’ve been thinking about buying one. As I learn more about it, I’m closer to pulling the trigger. I’m glad to see you got your red N76. The blue is pretty, but oddly, I love the Motorola yellow one.

Cool video. I finally got my BTECH version of this to beacon APRS. I missed a switch to turn things on I guess. All the colors are cool. Thanks for the videos on this radio.

Steve good things come to those who wait. Glad you finally got the Red one. The connector on the side might be an old ICOM type connector, I have a IC-32A and i think the spacing is shorter on the ICOM than the KENWOOD.
Could be. Its an "M-Connector", just have to make sure all the electrics match between M and Icom.

The blue is definitely my colour.
Although the Coyote Tacticool is nice too.

@AdamSWL I've been pretty happy with mine.
They will work very well with APRS Droid or IGATE 2 PRO using the new BTECH APRS K1 pro & the K1:mic adapter. Tried them both tonight with my GA-5WB without a hiccup. Going to test it through my PC using Direwolf & Pinpoint APRS later.

That looks like a Motorola 2pin connector, like for their digital radios. Also for the CP, GT, XTN series of radios as well.

I have to wait to get any radio. I'm torn between this & the GMRS Pro to learn how the data stuff works, cause I think it would be fun setting up a national Receive only I Gatefir GMRS.

Is the spacing of the jacks on the mic connector copyright protected or something? Can't think of any other reason for making it incompatible with the rest of the market.
They just chose another standard. There is an adapter available: geni.us/4I2s7

I haven't seen a factory supplied adaptor yet. I have the btech version and it worked fine for me. I need some more testing for PTT, but they is no VOX unless you have the btech software. What was he trying to do with it and how did he get it?@@jarredjones8476
@@temporarilyoffline the tech support at Vero asked me a few weeks ago if I wanted a free.adapter and I declined at the time... Another member in my group has a tacticool speaker Mic and wants to use it for it. He asked them for the adapter they sent him on and it was no bueno. Have you joined the group yet:) were at 136 members and growing

Heads up there is now. 0.7.8 update for both BTECH and radioddity it makes the radioddity version now 30 memories instead of 12 but no WX alert option. Maybe for the N76 as well

It can be programmed through the app (android version better with more features) I did it that way and it’s really easy best ht I have owned
I'd have to check, haven't had a need to use chirp since it has a good android app, but I can see why you might want that.

Red is good one question when I try and get a aprs passcode it sent me to a chinese web site to get it and it wnat a copy of my ham lic. and call sign. It also wnat to download a copy of wechat. Is there nay other way of getting a passcode without wechat?
APRS passcodes aren't "secrets", its just a hash of your callsign. Try this website instead: aprs.do3sww.de/
I hesitate to ask this question, but is the radio a broadband transmit type, like the radioddity?
