    This is a great demo! Many uploaders who unbox their speakers say its useless to record the sounds but honestly its not! Love this, thumbs up

    My Polk's are old school and built in the USA. Two RT500i's CS300i and FX500i bipole, dipole surrounds. They BOOM! I was gonna upgrade and my friend who is a Polk dealer for 40 years said to keep what I have. Said they are just not made well now in China. Cheaper parts. I'm more than pleased with what I own.

    F-ing awesome sound. Wow! Again, love the music. I must say one of the best sound- playback I've heard on TH-cam, and one of my most favorite piece of music too. Referring to the Stevie ray Vaughan piece.👍🏽

      I almost went with the 703s since I already have dual subs. Decided on the 707s since the sale was so good. Glad you like them. I may pick some up for my living room setup.

    the sound quality is very good but I have the impression that sometimes the room is banging , it is in no way acoustic adapted

    • @uproardiy4355
      @uproardiy4355  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nice catch.... this was one of the first things I had to fix after I made this video. I built 8 large sound absorbing boxes and hung them all around the room. This deadened the reflections and helped reduce some of the vibrations.

  • @decki1409

    How do you like them for home theater with movies? I'm looking to upgrade from my klipsch rp 280. They were great for a small room but at higher volume in a large room they are a little harsh

  • @Hybrid889
    @Hybrid889 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you had any issues with the grills on the 707s coming off? I've read some reviews that the magnets don't hold it up well enough, have you had any experience with it? Thanks for the video! About to pickup a Lsi set so doing my due diligence now.

    • @uproardiy4355
      @uproardiy4355  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No problems at all. I normally leave my covers off, but when I do put them on, they are solid. The magnets on my speakers are very strong

    Too bad no one stocks these for auditioning near me (Milw/Chi). I have a set of RTi12's that I like but would love to listen to a set of these. The 12's move an amazing amount of air and sometimes I crank the crap out of them (300wats per side) but the square boxes are ugly as hell.
    I'm guessing the 707's would be more musical but I'm concerned about the power handling and if they could put out the SPL of the 12's.
    You've got a good selection to demo your speakers with and the quality actually comes across well in your video. My favorite for loud and clean is the Yellowjackets 'Four Corners' album. Try the cuts 'Out of Town' and 'Postcards'. Turn it up and find out how good your system is.

    • @uproardiy4355
      @uproardiy4355  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I loved the A7's... they were great speakers. Fantastic for movies and TV shows. They are good for music, but not quite as refined as the LSiM's. I guess it depends on the style of music you listen to.

    Hey have you bi-amped your center Polk? is it the 704 or 706

    • @uproardiy4355
      @uproardiy4355  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is the 706c... I do not have it bi-amped, but it is bi-wired to the same amp with the bridge removed.... I know people say this does nothing, but it does essentially double the thickness of the speaker cable since I have 2 separate runs (one going to the woofers, one going to the tweeters) The 706c does have pretty impressive bass, but I have it cutoff at 60hz. It can go lower, but it doesn't need to and it sounds great.

    I'm looking at RTI A9 buget wise. what you guys think of those speakers ?

    • @uproardiy4355
      @uproardiy4355  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I owned the a7's and I really enjoyed them. Fantastic for movies and TV. They were good for music but not quite as revealing as the LSiM's. I'm no audiophile, but the LSiM's sound like they are farther away and the music just blends better across the sound-stage. The RTi's were much more "in your face" sound and it was easy to pinpoint the origin of each sound. I might add, the RTi's had decent bass, but really needed a sub. The LSiM's do not need a sub for music IMO.

      @bambam841ify 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      UproarDIY is correct about the A'9's. I owned a pair and would classify them as bright sounding, would highly recommend pairing them with a "warm" sounding receiver such as Marantz. They really play super loud with almost no distortion.

    Wow... So much bass!! That's impressive!
    How are you going to incorporate your subwoofer if it's already so much bass???
    Do you recommend not running subwoofer at all when listening to music?
    If you used subwoofer for music, is it gonna be way too much bass????

    • @uproardiy4355

      Receiver = Yamaha A1010 (soon to be upgraded to A2060) This powers my surrounds
      Amp = Emotiva XPA (gen3 - 200w/channel @8 ohms) This powers my front left, right and center
      Check out my other videos if you want to see the equipment.
