1:04 I know it very cliche about how athletes have a strict diet and calorie intake. It’s funny too me because in reality a lot of athletes and a lot of athletes I know literally have the worst diet possible. I’m talking candy chips soda pizza etc. The most unhealthy stuff out there I know first hand as well playing sports in high school and even college. Especially skinny ones they eat like crazy slobs lol.

I think I understand what the girl meant. What she meant was that she found it really hard to lose weight in a short period of time, so in order to avoid the struggle in the gym, she decided to follow a diet. It is quite common for athletes or models to gain weight when they have a few months off. For example, you can see many pictures of Hollywood stars becoming fat while walking around the street, but in the movies they still have 6 pack abs.
