@@goldenspatian517 actually, if you spend like 1 week straight 16 hours a day spending literally all your free time on it, you could catch up in like a week, assuming you skip the endings of each episode(the sneak peaks on the next episode) and if you skip the opening theme songs it'll be even shorter. might be able to finish it all in 4-5 days flat

@Breaumance No Toei just got cheap and didn't want to pay two music bands. If they do one and then make it twice as long they still get to pad the runtime down but only pay one party.
One piece has longer intros because they do everything they can to fill their 21-24 minute time slot. This is why every episode, while it follows the manga, has a lot of anime only filler. It tends to avoid filler arcs so to keep pace with the manga, they add a little bit in every episode.
One example of that was the Hody Jones fight. In the manga he only used Red Hawk one time.

One Piece is without a doubt one of my favourite manga of all time but Oda has got nothing on Togashi's story telling, Oda couldn't tell a story as complex and with such skill.

The part where Meruem is playing Gungi with Komugi Togashi told the the entire arcs (Chimera Ant-Arc) story through how they played the game, everything how they played ended up the way the arc began and finished and I don't think anyone even to this date is as capable of writing such a complex thing into a manga.
I respect so many mangaka but there's a reason he's one of the last remaining members of the Golden Age of Jump.

Every person that has reacted to one piece episode 1 or an episode in general say "this is probably gonna be a one time thing" or "I'll probably just upload it one a week or just the important episodes" but their views skyrocket so they upload every episode and get thousands and thousands of views. Especially when people know an episode has a very emotional or epic moment, that video gets around 100k views for most people

33:28 is after a time-skip btw

For One Piece's 20th-anniversary celebration they will be making a special movie this year coming out in October and its called "One Piece Stampede." So they do not have an opening for it.
And Opening 20 pretty much sums up that whole arc lol you don't even have to watch the show to know what's going on there.
From everything that happened in one piece, seeing sanji cry is what broke me and made me drop one piece for a year..

I just want to say, THANK YOU! opening 20v3 is one of my favorite, but its always skipped for obvious reasons. It shows so much of Sanji backstory and the drama of the arc that its a shame people ignore it. Once again thank you for staying strong through repeat after repeat of the song. Kudos for you

Yes please! Gintama has some of the best Openings and Ending songs in anime. You can even get a good gist of the story if you pay attention to the details.

once stick you One Piece'd to it.. the best world building anime.. goverment, people, politics, science, fiction, plot twist, history, war, ghost, fantasy, slice of life, family, plus others and special one is ADVENTURE.. 2Oyears in anime... 22years on manga.. and both still running..
You have no idea how deep the story's get in one piece. Even background characters mostly have meaningful backstories giving depth to their characters

I have watched like all the greatest animes & without a doubt ONE PIECE tops it all.
Then you certainly haven't seen a lot of great anime. One Piece anime becomes complete shit after the 2 year time skip with only few good parts. Manga is a lot better and even it isn't the best there is.

During these days the Main Character treats women like trash...The only reason they got to protect or fight for her is either they are already in love with her or going to do so in the process. What do you think what drove Luffy to fight for this Dragon? Remember when Luffy fought Don Krieg during Sanji's arc, He tried to pierce Luffy with those sharp Metal Spears, but Luffy kept running towards him, He covered himself with A Jacket made up of big sharp Metal Spikes but luffy did'nt stopped, He kept running towards him, reached him & GAVE HIM A FULL SOLID PUNCH right through the Jacket. Even during fighting with that GIANTS luffy never seemed to flinch even a bit! He even challenged one of them to fight. But when one of them was killed by Mr.3 during that Battle Duel, tied almost 100 times he kept hitting his head to the ground of despair & sorrow. Eichiro Oda had the greatest concept starting from Baroque Works. No other anime writer had thought so well & planned everything from this early. Do you even remeber the NORLAND & Calgara, THE SKYPEIA ARC.Luffy was the one who rang that Bell. It was the most awaited thing for those people there. It was such a Sad, shocking, & Epic story.
Remember during the Enies Lobby, What Luffy did to save his nakama Nico Robin? He fought with CP9, even fought against The worldGovernment.
You truly can't deny that hype, that rush, those goosebumps you got during the Fight of LUFFY v/s Rob Lucci, Luffy truly defines that How one should follow their Dreams & Achieve it.

Yes I am gonna completely agree with you about the Time skip...but let others see atleast the Gold Piece Of Artwork of One Piece of all the things I have described. Don't ruin their Journey from the very start.

Also of all things that One Piece is good for, you listed all the plot armor..... One piece's themes and writing far surpass everything you mentioned and go way deeper than luffy just pushing on and not giving up. But my point still stands, One piece anime is medicore. I'd recommend everyone to watch the anime untill time-skip and then pick up the manga.
