Could not agree more. Most of them aren't that good either but get better stats from platooning or clan play, which isn't hard considering how many bots you get in pub games. They have XVM and they blame the player with the lowest W/R for losing any given game.
would like to be honest about the anti-social behaviors that result from wot. I have been playing the game for at least 6 years, and in the beginning it was great fun and I bought premium account and especially the first premium tanks. even friends played along and we had a lot of fun ... but now years later my friends have stopped there is no more fun to be gained from the game from the moment the matchmaking was changed. The game has many different problems at the moment, but the worst in my eyes is the fact that I have changed from a quiet person. because I spent a lot of money on the game in the time of pleasure, I built up a certain pattern of expectations. and as a result, you become frustrated and start throwing in at the less good players or new ones. I also do it out of frustration that the game is broken and I'm pretty ashamed of it but I can't stop it either. while I don't want to, I think the addiction and urge to a well-functioning game that you loved can turn you into a non-social person while you actually are. this is perhaps also what most people walk around with the same problem that I am experiencing. in the end everybody wants to play in a team and have fun you don't play to hate poles or chechen these people fulfill some of the jobs that others in our country don't want to do I have nothing against them but the game makes me hate .. while I want love and just want to fire bullets with my tank. strange sensation but I just wanted to share it with the world. have a nice day all
I think it would be good for the game if players with a high win rate at higher tiers, had some kind of system like in Golf. The better you are the better you have to play to win in lower tiers. Almost like giving them minus Vents rather than plus. If I have a high win rate and am playing tier 3 games and I normally play tier 8 to 10 , It would be kind to give an advantage against me so that it's not like seal clubbing. It puts off players who may one day become as good as I am at times lol.
That and the +2 tier match making. How is someone supposed to have an enjoyable experience when they're cannon fodder? It's annoying as a somewhat experienced player and ridiculously aggravating for a new player.
I am an below average player but I refuse to hop in Tier 3s to boost my winrate. I rather have 49 % with enough Hightier and Midtier battles. Fuck playing for statistics
WG allowing seal clubbing is disgusting, let new players play in their own pool till they hit 1k games, do what you did on sea server, and pad the numbers out with some bots.

If you get re-spotted before the previous spot expires, it refreshes and doesn't re-trigger 6th sense... And it only takes moving a picosecond too early for that to happen.
With the Paris map, there was a tank that was directly behind you and you were caught in a cross fire...that is my guess. That is why you kept getting hit because those shots were for the other tank and not you.

I did a quick lookup on Wargaming.net. He's got to Tier 8 with 7200 Games. Back in the old Days he would have been sent back to play Tier 2-5 to learn how to play. Claus just played badly. Nowadays you just get killed by well equipped Tier 2 Players spamming nothing but premium ammo. When you look them up, they have awful stats. If you then watch your match again you realize: they are brainless players who didnt outsmart you but who brainlessly drove into their deaths taking one or two with them because the did not bounce. That's especially unnerving if you try to master some shit tank like the Kolohousenka. It drove me mad how often I lost to some shithead who just drove in front of me, pumping a full clip of premium into my tank while he lost half his HP and died 10 seconds later trying that on another one...
Claus, the other team players know you're there because their 6th sense lights up and that is the bush area you dingdong of the great white north and your kill is worth 250G
I think they should put restrictions on the crews you can have below tier 4, only 1 100% skill and only be able to equip 1 thing. Would make it more better for noobs learning to play and by tier 4 you have at least earned enough silver to pay for a few items.
About the blind shots in Paris map: you tell and show games with blind shots all the time and teach to aim at the direction of the receiving shot indicator and near the last known position. Plus, you're a sheriff. They'll always trying to kill and win the gold so that stimulates the blind shots and carefully aim artillery shots.
It's nice to see Claus have games just like me. Shoot enemy, bounce shots, get shot by invisible tanks, blow up. This pretty much happens at all levels if your bottom tier- which is always
1. Food is ok, and apcr is not? 2. Constantly spotted never crossed your mind? 3. Shooting full hp instead one shot? Also that guy went full yolo to spot, so positioning your tank to shoot his spot was way better play... 4. Also at least trying to counter enemies that go to hill on mines is far better play... :)

According to Global wiki, the M3 light was a reward vehicle for completing the in game tutorial also codes for it were made available for it in the 2013 Tankfest (EU Server) and 2014 HM Fest (Hungary EU Server)
I'm guessing the following line in the tank description is the reason for the low win rate of this tank: "It was previously available to new players for completing the in-game training course."
According to Wot Wiki the M3 Light was a reward vehicle for finishing the basic training missions. So it was given out for free exclusively to new players. It looks like a decent tank and I have worse premium tanks at that tier. It looks like there is really nothing wrong with the tank, it's just looks like the typical tier III experience. As you're finding out platoons of seal clubbers infest tier III. That platoon on mines kept you perma-spotted knowing that as a sheriff you were probably one of the few decent players they had to worry about plus there's free gold in the equation. The Pz38(t) is a well known tank for seal clubbing platoons (and one of them on Himmelsdorf is a well known seal clubber). That and the presence of wildly OP tanks for their tier like Pz I Cs and Pak40s. It's a wonder any new players learn anything or make it to tier IV.
The M3 Light tank was the free gift for all players way back in the day...back when a premium vehicle was supposed to be worse than the non-premium version of it (fully unlocked). It was considered garbage even back then, and most everyone sold it for the silver, without looking back. Power creep and premium-shell spam made it even worse apparently. Yow.

If you were spotted the whole time it shouldn't have gone off 15 seconds later. But I never saw it go off in the first place when they all started supposedly blind-firing where you were. WarGaming?!?
I do alright in that M3 light. We don't just club seals because we enjoy watching you cry, we do it because WG wants us to and rewards us greatly for it. "How so," you may ask. Well, we always get a 2x every day for each tank, and sometimes it's 3x, or 5x - even better. Then you can save up those 2x "crew experience" kits too. If I come on and it's a 5x event the first thing I'll do is start a crew experience reserve and start going through my light Russians, which will automatically pull the multi skilled crew members it needs from my LT100 - 6 or 7 perks and skills per member. They'll all get their x10 crew experience in the; Tetrarch, then, bt-7A, Bt-sv, t-116, t-127, m3 light, LTP (Like Toilet Paper), Valantine II, t-50-2, lt-432, then back to the lt100. That's 5x event x 2x booster, x 11 tanks, or 110x experience for that one crew in less than 2 hrs. Not all of us are given a Sherrie's accout with all the skills, we have to build those kind of crews, and many seals will die. BTW, if you remember to keep the m3 light nose on to pz1c, you'll kick his butt every time even if he's rat-a-tatting gold - he'll be astounded that you don't die - you can't do that in a locust.
That's what it was. So almost everybody playing that tank was brand new versus probably a host of seal clubbers. I haven't played on PC in a while but I don't remember it being much different than the US M3
For my sins, I have one of these. Wargaming gave away a package containing loads of lower tier premium tanks, some of which were rare - so I bought it. I played it a couple of times before I realised that this low tier trainer is dreadful. Load full APCR and get close to the enemy to pen them.
Really struggled in the M3 against Tier IVs yesterday, but feel a lot better after having watched this video! Guess it's not just me, it really can't pen sh*t... even shooting gold its iffy.
It's not a Russian tank - it's an American tank (rejected by the US Army) but sold to the Soviets under Lend Lease to get rid of surplus vehicles. They made 13,000 of them (see M3 Stuart on US tech tree) and all of them were supplied to allied armies. The British needed tanks to replace everything they lost in France after Dunkirk and the Soviets needed anything that moved and had armor! Basically, it's a crap tank that failed in testing as the armor was too thin and the gun was a popgun designed to frighten the enemy by firing on the move, whilst the driver frantically tried to close the distance so that the gun could get within effective range. The 37mm was very poor and no match for the 50mm guns on the Pz Mk 3. A lot of these were wrecked in the North African desert until the M3 Lee and M3 Grant were supplied and they could shoot at longer range with the 75mm. It was also a dreadful tank to escape from, as the hatches were awful. In the Paris battle, one of the enemy tanks, the T-127 that killed you, decided to perch on the edge of the building and that gave him the ability to see you even after you pulled down from the ridge line. You were constantly spotted and that's why your sixth sense did not go off.
It's a premium tank that comes with 30 days of premium account, 100% crew and most importantly a garage slot for something like $12.59. So it's pretty much buy 30 days of premium account and get a free tank, crew and garage slot. I have a 100% win rate in mine. That one game was a rough one though. I actually have a good win rate in this for 3 reasons: 1. I spam gold (you have to), 2. It is reasonably fast and has some armour and 3. It has the same crew layout as the T-127, BT-SV and A20, and I have a 4 skill crew in my A20 (Had it years and I have 3 crew trainers for it!). I rarely play it but the pain is managed.

You have forgotten everything you once knew about tier 3 tanks Claus. Spam shooting at tanks you can't pen, trying to spot with a low crew skill, not waiting for binocs or camo net to engage. Fundamental noob mistakes. You see a lot of seal clubbers make the same mistakes. They play the Defender and when they move down to low tiers they rage that their tanks are shit because they can't bounce anything.
It's old school premium where you're expected to use premium ammo in a premium tank. I have a 57% WR in this ( I think I played it when they handed this out so the server was peppered with this tank.) and a Mastery. Seemed OK at the time.
The help you could give may not be the help they need lol. Also it was a reward tank back in the early days of completing the introduction missions also with how you can get it now it would be classified as a rare tank.
So I was on Mines in my Tier 3 TD and i thought Ha Claus said to go that corner and farm damage! Sweet. Took two shots stupidly repositioned while in sniper mode. Flipped myself.I STILL got in two more hits even though my team didn't feel like flipping me back over. Got a ton of shit in chat for camping at the end though . which seemed a bit unfair no?
The US M3 Light is a blast to play! Yes experienced players can and di play those tiers too. I'm barely maintaining my old 51% winrate and watching it fall to mid 50% global but I still like to enjoy my old low tiers now and then (Pz 38T and 38 Na are another two favorites). I kept mine from 8 years ago because as I got better at the game I realized (back when tier 3 lights faced tier 5 KV-2/KV-1 etc that I could actually do great using it as a scout or a pew pew fun stress free tank. I do see though that nowadays the lower tiers are tougher even for me (platooning up with my 6 year old son while he learns) but that's life.
There is a cheat going around that shows the exact position of the tanks when they shoot. no matter if you have full cover it will always show you on the minimap even if they can not see you.

I don't know the history of the M3 Light, but it was probably a lend lease weapon in WWII. The US wouldn't have given the Russians their best equipment in case Patton was correct and we had to keep going east after Germany was defeated. The win rate is obviously because the ammo won't pin a paper bag even when played by such a skillful player like Claus! Enjoy
The gun on the m3 light is crap, but keep in mind that it carried premium 2-3 matchmaking in a time when tier 3 tanks could still see tier 5 games. Because tier 3 wasn't protected, clubbers were usually in tier 2 tanks. I rather enjoyed playing mine at the time. One comment on seal clubbing. Getting better at this game is all about acquiring knowledge about positions, tanks, how to abuse map characteristics, and managing your health. The best way to get this knowledge is to get it from players who have it, as soon as you can. Some of those low tier players are just good in low tier. Some of them are good everywhere. When you see players who have terrific games, drop the urge to send them nasty notes, and instead send them congrats notes, or ask them why they played certain positions the way they did. That's how you find mentors. You might be surprised how often those "clubbers" will respond and teach you things when they read the 9 notes calling them pricks, and then your positive note. This is just my personal opinion, but I think you're far better off if you come across better players earlier than later. Or feel free to just skip over to the high tiers, but at 8,9,10 I wish you luck looking for blue or purple players who will respond to you, or teach you anything. By that time they look at some tomato player and just thumb their noses at them. You're no longer a potential member of their clan. You're just some shitter. With that said, I'd be thrilled if the game would just stop tracking stats all together in games played up until tier 4. It would damage my stats but I could care less about those. It might create a guilt-free, fast and fun game arena where all players could play a few games for shits and giggles, all while reducing the need to shoot gold in the tier and creating an opportunity to raise gold.
yes, routinely, see guys with 40 thousand games, go in platoons at tier 3 and 4. Make it so you can't go back after tier 6. Give credits for tanks at low tiers after you have a t6 or something.

the m3's got a low wr due to it initially being a gift tank for completing "Tutorial" since removed. all thoes "new" players who made use of that tank back then did not have a good crew.. a large % were sold off for the slot. so its the timing of the tanks release that has it sitting at such a low wr. its not like today if there were a tutorial gift tank instantly after nearly every player save the 10 actual new joiners would have an already well honed crew to put in it.

I played the M3 Light in the last few days a lot to clean out my old Stats and what can i say? WORST TANK IN GAME! Nower Days the Tier 3 have only 2 Slots for Moduls and only 2 slots for consumables... The new Tanks on Tier 3 are balanced for it the old oneces not... Sell it after reach purpel!
Played a Tier 3 game the other day encountered a guy with over 88000 battles in his premium tank with his clan guys. They were just running around seal clubbing and achieving the net result of getting new players to quit the game and continue to the decline of the player numbers. Sad that they feel so inadequate that they have to stat pad their pathetic egos.
When I started 8 years ago I thought HE was the best because it had the highest damage number, then one day someone in chat asked "why r u shooting HE?". My stats still suck because I played my first 20k battles (out of 45K) spamming nothing but HE - I was confused, it happened so fast!

To be fair, the T127 in Paris only had just over 33,000 games. Sometimes it takes a while to understand the game.
And of course, the guy who got him on Highway was a re-roll.
A lot of those T3 players do not look like beginners.

T-127 base view range is 320m, that is 40m more than M3 Light and the bushes did not cover Claus most of the time.

At high tier owning the hill is no big deal. At low tiers, it's everything.

According to Global wiki, the M3 light was a reward vehicle for completing the in game tutorial also codes for it were made available for it in the 2013 Tankfest (EU Server) and 2014 HM Fest (Hungary EU Server)

It looks like a decent tank and I have worse premium tanks at that tier. It looks like there is really nothing wrong with the tank, it's just looks like the typical tier III experience.
As you're finding out platoons of seal clubbers infest tier III. That platoon on mines kept you perma-spotted knowing that as a sheriff you were probably one of the few decent players they had to worry about plus there's free gold in the equation. The Pz38(t) is a well known tank for seal clubbing platoons (and one of them on Himmelsdorf is a well known seal clubber). That and the presence of wildly OP tanks for their tier like Pz I Cs and Pak40s. It's a wonder any new players learn anything or make it to tier IV.
This video reminded me of almost all of my games lately. 10-20 shots, 7-15 hit, 2 pen. RNG sucks...

The M3 Light tank was the free gift for all players way back in the day...back when a premium vehicle was supposed to be worse than the non-premium version of it (fully unlocked). It was considered garbage even back then, and most everyone sold it for the silver, without looking back. Power creep and premium-shell spam made it even worse apparently. Yow.
Any chance you could use some compression on the audio, so that when you get exited and start yelling, that you don't blow out the ears of the people that use head-phones?

If you were spotted the whole time it shouldn't have gone off 15 seconds later. But I never saw it go off in the first place when they all started supposedly blind-firing where you were. WarGaming?!?
I do alright in that M3 light. We don't just club seals because we enjoy watching you cry, we do it because WG wants us to and rewards us greatly for it. "How so," you may ask. Well, we always get a 2x every day for each tank, and sometimes it's 3x, or 5x - even better. Then you can save up those 2x "crew experience" kits too. If I come on and it's a 5x event the first thing I'll do is start a crew experience reserve and start going through my light Russians, which will automatically pull the multi skilled crew members it needs from my LT100 - 6 or 7 perks and skills per member. They'll all get their x10 crew experience in the; Tetrarch, then, bt-7A, Bt-sv, t-116, t-127, m3 light, LTP (Like Toilet Paper), Valantine II, t-50-2, lt-432, then back to the lt100. That's 5x event x 2x booster, x 11 tanks, or 110x experience for that one crew in less than 2 hrs. Not all of us are given a Sherrie's accout with all the skills, we have to build those kind of crews, and many seals will die. BTW, if you remember to keep the m3 light nose on to pz1c, you'll kick his butt every time even if he's rat-a-tatting gold - he'll be astounded that you don't die - you can't do that in a locust.

That's what it was. So almost everybody playing that tank was brand new versus probably a host of seal clubbers. I haven't played on PC in a while but I don't remember it being much different than the US M3

For my sins, I have one of these. Wargaming gave away a package containing loads of lower tier premium tanks, some of which were rare - so I bought it. I played it a couple of times before I realised that this low tier trainer is dreadful. Load full APCR and get close to the enemy to pen them.
Really struggled in the M3 against Tier IVs yesterday, but feel a lot better after having watched this video! Guess it's not just me, it really can't pen sh*t... even shooting gold its iffy.
It's not a Russian tank - it's an American tank (rejected by the US Army) but sold to the Soviets under Lend Lease to get rid of surplus vehicles. They made 13,000 of them (see M3 Stuart on US tech tree) and all of them were supplied to allied armies.
The British needed tanks to replace everything they lost in France after Dunkirk and the Soviets needed anything that moved and had armor!
Basically, it's a crap tank that failed in testing as the armor was too thin and the gun was a popgun designed to frighten the enemy by firing on the move, whilst the driver frantically tried to close the distance so that the gun could get within effective range.
The 37mm was very poor and no match for the 50mm guns on the Pz Mk 3. A lot of these were wrecked in the North African desert until the M3 Lee and M3 Grant were supplied and they could shoot at longer range with the 75mm. It was also a dreadful tank to escape from, as the hatches were awful.
In the Paris battle, one of the enemy tanks, the T-127 that killed you, decided to perch on the edge of the building and that gave him the ability to see you even after you pulled down from the ridge line. You were constantly spotted and that's why your sixth sense did not go off.
It's a premium tank that comes with 30 days of premium account, 100% crew and most importantly a garage slot for something like $12.59. So it's pretty much buy 30 days of premium account and get a free tank, crew and garage slot. I have a 100% win rate in mine. That one game was a rough one though. I actually have a good win rate in this for 3 reasons: 1. I spam gold (you have to), 2. It is reasonably fast and has some armour and 3. It has the same crew layout as the T-127, BT-SV and A20, and I have a 4 skill crew in my A20 (Had it years and I have 3 crew trainers for it!). I rarely play it but the pain is managed.
The Soviet M3 Light was a reward back in the day for completing the original Training module. this was back in 2010 to 2013. I think that was the time frame

You have forgotten everything you once knew about tier 3 tanks Claus. Spam shooting at tanks you can't pen, trying to spot with a low crew skill, not waiting for binocs or camo net to engage. Fundamental noob mistakes. You see a lot of seal clubbers make the same mistakes. They play the Defender and when they move down to low tiers they rage that their tanks are shit because they can't bounce anything.
It's old school premium where you're expected to use premium ammo in a premium tank. I have a 57% WR in this ( I think I played it when they handed this out so the server was peppered with this tank.) and a Mastery. Seemed OK at the time.
The help you could give may not be the help they need lol.
Also it was a reward tank back in the early days of completing the introduction missions also with how you can get it now it would be classified as a rare tank.
So I was on Mines in my Tier 3 TD and i thought Ha Claus said to go that corner and farm damage! Sweet. Took two shots stupidly repositioned while in sniper mode. Flipped myself.I STILL got in two more hits even though my team didn't feel like flipping me back over. Got a ton of shit in chat for camping at the end though . which seemed a bit unfair no?
The US M3 Light is a blast to play! Yes experienced players can and di play those tiers too. I'm barely maintaining my old 51% winrate and watching it fall to mid 50% global but I still like to enjoy my old low tiers now and then (Pz 38T and 38 Na are another two favorites). I kept mine from 8 years ago because as I got better at the game I realized (back when tier 3 lights faced tier 5 KV-2/KV-1 etc that I could actually do great using it as a scout or a pew pew fun stress free tank. I do see though that nowadays the lower tiers are tougher even for me (platooning up with my 6 year old son while he learns) but that's life.
It was a Christmas giver-away. We could have used toilet paper instead as a gift! LOL!

There is a cheat going around that shows the exact position of the tanks when they shoot. no matter if you have full cover it will always show you on the minimap even if they can not see you.
It looks like they may have been shooting the tanks spotted behind you. You just happen to be in the line of fire.

I don't know the history of the M3 Light, but it was probably a lend lease weapon in WWII. The US wouldn't have given the Russians their best equipment in case Patton was correct and we had to keep going east after Germany was defeated. The win rate is obviously because the ammo won't pin a paper bag even when played by such a skillful player like Claus! Enjoy
Its Tier III there's going to be seal clubbers in fast German LTs with maximum crew skills trying to improve their win rates.
But honestly Claus, you didn't play this tank very well.
The gun on the m3 light is crap, but keep in mind that it carried premium 2-3 matchmaking in a time when tier 3 tanks could still see tier 5 games. Because tier 3 wasn't protected, clubbers were usually in tier 2 tanks. I rather enjoyed playing mine at the time.
One comment on seal clubbing. Getting better at this game is all about acquiring knowledge about positions, tanks, how to abuse map characteristics, and managing your health. The best way to get this knowledge is to get it from players who have it, as soon as you can. Some of those low tier players are just good in low tier. Some of them are good everywhere. When you see players who have terrific games, drop the urge to send them nasty notes, and instead send them congrats notes, or ask them why they played certain positions the way they did. That's how you find mentors. You might be surprised how often those "clubbers" will respond and teach you things when they read the 9 notes calling them pricks, and then your positive note. This is just my personal opinion, but I think you're far better off if you come across better players earlier than later.
Or feel free to just skip over to the high tiers, but at 8,9,10 I wish you luck looking for blue or purple players who will respond to you, or teach you anything. By that time they look at some tomato player and just thumb their noses at them. You're no longer a potential member of their clan. You're just some shitter.
With that said, I'd be thrilled if the game would just stop tracking stats all together in games played up until tier 4. It would damage my stats but I could care less about those. It might create a guilt-free, fast and fun game arena where all players could play a few games for shits and giggles, all while reducing the need to shoot gold in the tier and creating an opportunity to raise gold.

yes, routinely, see guys with 40 thousand games, go in platoons at tier 3 and 4. Make it so you can't go back after tier 6. Give credits for tanks at low tiers after you have a t6 or something.

Also what's the rate of draws in wot? In blitz 47% is about where winning equals losing and the remaining 6% are draws.
the m3's got a low wr due to it initially being a gift tank for completing "Tutorial" since removed. all thoes "new" players who made use of that tank back then did not have a good crew.. a large % were sold off for the slot. so its the timing of the tanks release that has it sitting at such a low wr. its not like today if there were a tutorial gift tank instantly after nearly every player save the 10 actual new joiners would have an already well honed crew to put in it.

I played the M3 Light in the last few days a lot to clean out my old Stats and what can i say? WORST TANK IN GAME!
Nower Days the Tier 3 have only 2 Slots for Moduls and only 2 slots for consumables...
The new Tanks on Tier 3 are balanced for it the old oneces not...

Played a Tier 3 game the other day encountered a guy with over 88000 battles in his premium tank with his clan guys. They were just running around seal clubbing and achieving the net result of getting new players to quit the game and continue to the decline of the player numbers. Sad that they feel so inadequate that they have to stat pad their pathetic egos.
When I started 8 years ago I thought HE was the best because it had the highest damage number, then one day someone in chat asked "why r u shooting HE?". My stats still suck because I played my first 20k battles (out of 45K) spamming nothing but HE - I was confused, it happened so fast!

It may be labeled as Russian but it is actually an American tank that was supplied to the USSR under lend-lease during WW II. It also appears in the game as an American non-premium light and a British tank as the M3 Stuart. This may explain why it is under powered for a Russian tank, lol!
