Wow, you would NEVER see this many stars at one place at one time anymore, especially on network TV. and the 80s fashions/hair! 😍Those were the days… ❤
Nothing compares to Timeless, Classic Fashion. Most of the pieces can be worn today with a few alternations here and there but most don't need altering💖
Wonderful. What a collection of leading ladies; nighttime soap divas, daytime soap queens, past television queens, and only the legendary Joan Collins could introduce them. This is far better than any Met Gala; Anna Wintour needs to follow their example. This was like the We Are The World assemblage, you'll never get this many stars together again.
RIP Raquel Welsh. My beautiful Laura Branigan looked AMAZING! I remember watching this and night of 100 stars (1) and (3) as well when ABC first aired these for the Actors Fund. Aw the 80’s When TV, film and Music truly was great!
Joan Collins, Diahnne Carroll, Linda Evans, Janet Leigh, Priscilla Presley with that Oscar De La Renta dress, and of course Raquel Welch! 🤩😍👏🏽 Also, need I say more about those Bob Mackey numbers?! 😍👏🏽 And every time I’d see J.C. Penny’s, I’d crack up lol 😂 cuz I don’t think automatically think of glamour but my mum and grandma getting annoyed at me running around lifting up the dresses or pulling down the pants on the mannequins and finding a leftover melted Orange Julius in the dressing rooms. 😂
The husband and wives kissing scenes are so comical...these models have so much expression...its as if they combined, dance, actual acting with runway! A genuine fashion entertainment production.
That music is from the "Hooked on Classics" album from the early-80s. The album gave a dance feel to classical music. There were other "Hooked on" allbums that tackled other styles of music. I love it. And it works for this ultimate 80s fashion tribute.
The first piece is by Andrew Lloyd Webber and is called "Variation on Paganini's "24th Caprice" . British viewers will be familiar with a rendition of it being used as the theme tune to the cultural TV show "The South Bank Show".
just watched this video because when she was with Dave Letterman in a Late Night show in 1985 she talked about it, so many people appearing here are gone, RIP Teri, Raquel, Florence, Treat, Janet Leigh and some more
This was the essence of the 80's. Anyone who was anyone in the 80's was in this show. I enjoyed so many actors and actresses in this. Special treat were actual supermodels at the time Brooke Shields and Micheal Ives.
Why did they stop doing the show? To bad I was to young to remember it. :( I would have loved to see all my favorite actors playing dress up for only one night.
Jaclyn Smith! You haven't forgotten my proposal have you? Little house in the country. White picket fence. Stairmaster. The Whole Nine Yards? (Charlie Sheen > Hot Shots)
See - I'm sure these clothes are beautiful, but they're just fancy designer dresses or whatever. They don't have the magic of the late 50s and 60s where style and mystique could take your breath away... Others will disagree.
Brooke Shields should have been the bride. Ann-Margret was too old and the frock she wore made her look like a midget. She even ruined the finale and turned it into an amateur performance by marching by onstage too slowly. The music was finished before she reached her mark. You could see the other stars watch and wait for her to reach it for their final cue.
Thanks Forever Carrington this was fabulous. Linda Evans was as beautiful as ever.
Pamela Rose, Of course, no surprise!
Wow, you would NEVER see this many stars at one place at one time anymore, especially on network TV. and the 80s fashions/hair! 😍Those were the days… ❤
Fun! I have a Halston for JCP evening dress I bought in 1985, still looks fabulous.
Linda Gray❤❤❤ incredibly charming and beautiful and Linda Evans❤❤❤

I was there and also went to the party afterwards. GREAT night. I met so many of these people! It was fun.
Halston, Bob Mackie, Geoffrey Beene, Oleg Cassini, and other REAL STARS...glad I remember this era and time of class. No comparison these days.
None whatsoever.
Justin Aames I wholeheartedly agree 👏🏽
bill blass
Big hair, big shoulders, big fun! Raquel Welch stole the show!
absolutely !
Lynda Carter, Brooke Shields. Jacklyn Smith
I think Linda Grey and Ann Margret did.
She probably stole every show so freaking stunning.
LOVE seeing Ann-Margret as the bride ~ just as stunning as ever!
RIP Raquel Welsh. My beautiful Laura Branigan looked AMAZING! I remember watching this and night of 100 stars (1) and (3) as well when ABC first aired these for the Actors Fund. Aw the 80’s When TV, film and Music truly was great!
Both the Albert Capraro gowns are beautiful and timeless and could be wore in 2024 wow!🗼.
To bad they don't do shows like this anymore .
Thank you for sharing these amazing fashion history gems!!
You're welcome! :-)
Joan Collins, Diahnne Carroll, Linda Evans, Janet Leigh, Priscilla Presley with that Oscar De La Renta dress, and of course Raquel Welch! 🤩😍👏🏽 Also, need I say more about those Bob Mackey numbers?! 😍👏🏽

🤣🤣🤣
I love Linda Gray
OMG!! WHAT A FAB 80s vibe with a medley of icons!
The husband and wives kissing scenes are so comical...these models have so much expression...its as if they combined, dance, actual acting with runway! A genuine fashion entertainment production.
Linda Gray Beautiful!!!Beatiful!!!❤💐⚘💖
I remember this ,as if was yesterday
Love the music and the glamour! Morgan Fairchild is awesome-my favorite!
Of course the Dynasty ladies Linda Evans and Diahann Carroll got their special entrance in the limousine .... :-)
Park Hurst, Well deserved!
SHORT-wheelbase limousine. Probably they were not impressed ;)
I was there that night. Such a great show!
I LOVE the 1980's fashion! =D

rollitbackagain it seemed very appropriate, didn’t it?! I also vaguely recalling commercials for it as a child
I loved that 80s computer / arcade game sounding music
The first piece is by Andrew Lloyd Webber and is called "Variation on Paganini's "24th Caprice" . British viewers will be familiar with a rendition of it being used as the theme tune to the cultural TV show "The South Bank Show".
gorgeous linda gray
Yes there they go, Diahnn Carroll and Linda Evans, of Dianhnn Carroll looking fabulous.
Having the Lincoln Town Car on stage was the best. Class and elegance. Something which is gone now.
The party was fun after! Joan was "SPECTACULAR" as were most of the stars.
Holy sparkle and shine!
It’s amazing to see celebrities that don’t all look alike ! I can’t wait until natural beauty comes back in style!
So good.
They all look fabulous, but Raquel Welsh gorgeous- Mama Mia
OMG. Her presence and grace...
Hooked on Classics! Still have my album...
My Best pick - worn by Raquel Welch. a heart strapless with diagonal white cape...n deep . vertical back opening
just watched this video because when she was with Dave Letterman in a Late Night show in 1985 she talked about it, so many people appearing here are gone, RIP Teri, Raquel, Florence, Treat, Janet Leigh and some more
These shows are insane.
ANN-MARGRET...finale...biggest star of the night!
I don’t think this could be anymore 80s.
Terri Garr in Halston III. there has never been a more dated statement typed out and 80s as that! Fantastic.
Very glamorous! So 80's! Big hair and big shoulder pads. They loved sparkle back then didn't they? Really interesting to see this.
Wonderful
Ann Margret looks fabulous and has class and style and do does Limda Hray Angie Dickinson and many others’
I am surprised that Cher. and Diana Ross were not at the fashion show.
Great to see the family of Lincoln among the elite, nice choice.
WHAT a great night! Seems like so long ago though.
imagine how long ago it feels NOW!
Two of the sexiest raquel/angie back to back🥵
The Big big big Stars 70's-80's Reunion.....
Awe, the good old days
I think I wet my Stayfree this was just beyond fabulous! What was this for?!!!
Lynda Carter, Rachel Welch, Morgan Fairchild, Jacqueline Bisette and Lisa Hartman have the most interesting and fashion dresses!
Oh I love this
Ann Margret go head girl
HALSTON 👏🏽
Why is this cut? Claudia Cardinale at 8:03
Yes why? She was the most beautiful !!
This was the essence of the 80's. Anyone who was anyone in the 80's was in this show. I enjoyed so many actors and actresses in this. Special treat were actual supermodels at the time Brooke Shields and Micheal Ives.
I think Dyan Cannon was the sexiest!
I wish so many people weren't cut off
Why did they stop doing the show? To bad I was to young to remember it. :( I would have loved to see all my favorite actors playing dress up for only one night.
+Judy Gutierrez These are available individually and also as a set of the 3 broadcasts. I've seen them on Amazon and a view other sites
I've met Laura Branigan when I was a teen - most beautiful woman in person!
Jaclyn Smith! You haven't forgotten my proposal have you? Little house in the country. White picket fence. Stairmaster. The Whole Nine Yards? (Charlie Sheen > Hot Shots)
Coleen dewhurst reminds me of professor Snape from afar dont argue with me on this
8.00: Claudia Cardinale in Valentino. WOW!!!
10:14 she throws the bouquet away
LINDA EVANS THE PRETTIEST. NO SURPRISE!
This is a memorable piece from the past. Thanks for uploading. But why did you cut out certain portions intermittently?
It's all I have. I wish I had the entire segment.
recording a show to a vhs tape in the 1980's was not always reliable
So obvious that the fashion designers who modeled their own creations - and were famous in their own right - were purposely edited out.
The part of the Lincolns being driven on stage is missing. 😔
Models were a lot more vibrant I can’t stand companies these days in it
9:05 - That’s Miss Laura Branigan.
Can anyone identify the star in the red Mary McFadden gown and the other star in the white Valentino number with the fox stole?
I think the one in red is Connie Sellecca of "Hotel", but I'm not 100% sure.
Yes it is beautiful connie selleca!🌹
The one with the stole is Claudia Cardinale. The one in red is Cynthia Sikes. There used to be a longer version on YT.
All one has to do is read the name indicated on the screen as she glides on the stage. And it's actress Cynthia Sikes, and not Connie Selleca.
Perry Ellis was the best , I used to wear his designs in the 80’s
This was a huge blow to Ali McGraw's ego and one of her worst nights!!!!
Beside her actual appearance on Dynasty, of course. 😅
That music selection was given the green light huh? Oyyy!!
#199-JS IN BB🔵👗💯🌟👍
I mean, Brooke shields had to of been the tallest girl there
No Lauren Tewes?
I love Laura Branigan's dress
#nowords 😍😍😍
apoteósico!!
All that hair...
See - I'm sure these clothes are beautiful, but they're just fancy designer dresses or whatever. They don't have the magic of the late 50s and 60s where style and mystique could take your breath away... Others will disagree.
♥️🙏🏼✝️✌🏼😎
seems so kitsch now...omg terri garr..fresno! lol
Totally disturbed with the horrible 80s !
By the way i love Joan collins !!! She is my Muse !! The perfect choice for the beginning!!!
I met Joan that night! I have a pic if you dont believe me ! LOL I showed it to everyone. just send me your email address. lol She is amazing!
No more 'horrible' than your KAREN post...
was this a benefit for something?? otherwise it seems a little unnecessary
wtf
Well, that was embarrassing. The worst fashion decade. Period.
That's how little you know about fashion. 80s is one of the most influential decades and the 70s. Art, music, fashion at its height.
THAT MUSIC SUCKS!!
No....it fits perfectly. Each to their own!
