    The enep is the best machete ever! I ordered 2 of them when they were first available this year. You can literally chop down a small tree with it! It will always stay sharp as long as the edge doesn't get chipped.

      The e-toh is great for chopping into a big bush tree, and or chopping into tree roots.

    Aranyik Machetes are finally back in stock, for around $40 you get 5160 with a convex edge, extremely durable, hand forged in Thailand, the E-Nep is kind of like a kukri, but the tip it more in-line with the handle, the E-Toh is more like a cleaver.

    Good video, I really like the longer handles and pinned handle scales. I saw some great machetes in Southeast Asia but many of them had simple wood the handles glued or pressed on.

    1. Grind in a finger choil
    2. Sharpen the edge up to the choil

    4. Paracord and tape wrap the handle

    I'm trying to find and record the various blade stamps/etchings on genuine Aranyik blades. I assume the ones near the handle are makers marks and the other random symbols are the leaf spring stamps but I'm speculating because there is little to no info available. If you have info or a range of examples of the makers marks in would be very grateful! I'm hoping to trace each mark to a family in Thailand, and explore their work and techniques. Thank Sensei!

    Just stumbled on these and went to the big A to order. 2 left so one is now mine. Now the other is gone as well and Miles (is that right?) is off on holiday, his own site resting til he gets back...all his items on Amazon pulled. So - Looking forward to this beast. I have bought several Bidor items, pulled the cheap handles and redone them...and made wood scabbards. My favorite biggie is a Bark River Golock out of A2 steel with basic Micarta handles. An amazing steel and a sweet tool. Thanks for your excellent Vids here.

      +WeAllJuggleKnives I too used the copper plumbing tubing/end cap bolster piece on my re-handle project. I do like their hiding and protecting the pin inside the copper sleeve though. Great idea. I did one of the smaller Bidor Parangs in an antler handle piece that I then scrimmed with a Nordic design. Unique cultural melange there. lol

    I don’t know why this thai machete e-toh style blade shape is underrated? Maybe because it is heavy? From my personal experience. It fells down trees way better than kukri machetes, cane machetes, or latina style style machetes. The thick and powerful spin and the wide straight blade shape, makes it a powerful beast. Similar to the ram dao sword. Although it is a short machete. The design makes it a powerful tree feller machete.

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a true survival blade, come the end of the world you want a heavy E-Toh for chopping and a small scandi knife for slicing.
