"The customer is always right" was actually coined by Henry Ford, and is only the first half of the full statement, which is "the customer is always right in matters of taste." In other words, if the customer says they like pink, you don't get to argue with them and tell them they actually like green. If the customer says they like metal, you don't get to tell them "ugh, metal sucks, you should listen to R&B instead." When the customer tells you what their *preference* is, they're correct. The statement does not extend to matters of technical fact, historical accuracy or physical reality. In such matters, the customer can be willfully dead wrong or even fraudulent, and sometimes the correct thing to do is to stand your ground and lose that customer.
That's why I always hate it when people misuse the quote. No, Carol, it does not mean you get to throw a fit in the middle of the store, it means that if you really want to buy something that I think looks horrendous, I'm not supposed to tell you otherwise!!
4:57 100% correct. Making self contained videos is completely different from just uploading a portion of your stream. It's a totally different skillset.
@@db5094 Compared to some of the other Hermes boons, it's pretty mid. It's also better if you take it early. I was kind of surprised when he took the dash over the epic side hustle on that first hermes.
Watching these videos has inspired me to push for my first 32 heat clear. Typically I run 13 heat max, so it's super challenging and I'm losing runs about halfway through Elysium, but it's so much fun to actually struggle through the levels again.
man, i died to EM4 this morning because dad summoned 3 doomstones and the sheer number of adds caused me so much frame rate drop that i couldn't evade shit. i should have used Meg like you did here but i wanted to save her for phase 3.
Maybe the lady in your Christmas retail story planned on stealing the stuff but you guys were too vigilant so she had to keep wasting time hoping she could get away with it? I hope she gets the help she needs.. spending most of Christmas Day shopping in a small store alone sounds like a massive cry for help..
Fun fact: here where I live, it's illegal to make gift cards / certificates non-refundable. Doesn't stop enterprises from trying to claim so. Some people make a small side hustle out of refunding them for others.
I think the point of saying 'The customer is always right' is just a pointer in terms of good business practice, i.e. pay attention to the needs and wants of the customer, since as a business you are facilitating them with goods and services that should satisfy their ideal over the exchange taking place. It is obviously a good principle for businesses to keep customers happy and in their pocket, and it works for customers, because they at least _feel_ like they are not being taken advantage of. It's never literal... anyone who deals with customers can rest assured that they are, in fact, rarely correct when it comes to what will benefit them, and from a capitalist's perspective it is the salesperson's job to fill that knowledge gap with whatever bullshit nets them the fattest margin. I guess that phrase, from my POV, underpins the way the free market works, and therefore is definitely applicable in the context of those principles. Nerdge
The customer is always right is such an American invention. In the UK service is pretty bad which I'm almost proud of. If you're gonna be stupid then you shouldn't be rewarded for it
As a person who worked retail in the UK, there was alot we could get away with, short of straight up insulting the customer, but even then if they started it... Just an exercise in respect for your servicemen. My shop was you get what you give in terms of respect and treatment.
How come every video I see, he has maxed out relationships with everyone except for Persephone? Before I did them myself I even thought it's impossible
I have to reset my save occasionally to an older one for the sake of speedrunning a specific real time category (when you get to thousands of runs in a savefile, it takes longer to load each chamber). Just so happens that save doesn't have the bond.
Once I had a customer who a coworker spoke to informally (which in my country isn't seen all that wrong) and dude went ballistic Saying that they weren't equals and that he the customer must be treated with the greatest respect and asked for remuneration Bastard worked int the same shopping center but was off shift, not many knew him and he worked on a different shop but still Ffs
I feel like the person that was shopping for 7 hours, was probably homeless and with some mental issues and found some solace from shopping and made her feel normal, maybe. Of course I have no idea, but that makes sense to me.
It's not recommended to take EM4 (Hades phase 3) until you're well into heat levels because of the difficulty and time-consuming nature of it. You won't have to worry about it until you're at ~50 heat or so lol
You have to buy access to it from the house contractor. Honestly its a difficult fight but you can win it with practice, I made it when my highest heat was 8.
18:55 absolutely not. some people LOVE to be the annoying customer they have to deal with in some misguided way of getting back at the universe or something. its about having perceived power
I tried this build and died to the Elysium heroes on low heat even with the duo boon. I was really struggling with weak damage. This really is a meme build, not really worth it.
"They could just not work on the holiday." Yeah, that's not really how it works under capitalism. The employees have living expenses to pay and so they have to do what the employer tells them or risk termination. Sure, they could look for other work, but there's a limited pool of employers in your area and the job search process seems to me like the applicants have to spend a lot more time writing applications than the employers do reviewing them.

Haelain - "Am i supposed to confirm it's their birthday?"
Zag - "Yes"
Zag knows how to keep the customer satisfied
The full quote is "The customer is always right in matters of taste"

I'll be honest, that was the first time I saw Haelian taking Side Hustle

“The customer is always right, in the matter of taste” so if you think the clothing they are buying is ugly it doesn’t matter cuz it’s not your taste
Some people are just boring on twitch... Haelian is really great on twitch.

Hey Dan, do you have anything you’d like to say to all your non-Twitch viewers and supporters?

Should be a rule that if you go shopping on a holiday like that you have work that holiday the next year. Retail at the holidays is the worst.
Woah, this build is *USELESS* without the Duo Boon. Holy shit, the damage at the end legit might as well be 0 against Hades.
Yoo wtf Haelian you live in MA? Fuck yeah. Also I just got 16 heat last night and watching your videos has helped me so much in getting there.

I'm climbing heats (Headed into 9-10 range) and I'm wondering at what point you start to see the third phase of dad with the summon and what not.
