The class of 76 would make a great non-linear mystery thriller tv show. Where every episode seems like it's an isolated story but towards the end it all starts to come together only to apruptly end. Leaving you with more questions than answers.
And then they completely ruin it with a 2nd season.

i cant speak for every state but for most its less about amount of funding and more about misuse of funding. The state i live in hemorages money on pointless construction projects (I know for a fact they use light fixtures that cost 4-5 times the standard cost for example) and on administrative waste. The amount of administrative staff vs number of teachers at your average school has skyrocketed in the last 30 years.
It depends on the location, schools often misuse money, but major inner city populations are often extremely underfunded. Especially because of things like racist policy of tying funding to property values

@@jellyno1946 actuality credit where credit is due that's one of the few things school did teach me. public schools are unfortunately designed to teach children to be obedient useful citizens first and to give knowledge second. this is not by accident but by design as the American public school system was modeled after the Prussian factory school system that was made for that task.
It honestly confuses me a little when people act like high school was either the worst thing ever or heaven. I had things I liked about it, but I wouldn't go back given the opportunity, because I love college and look forward to adult life.
@@wardedthorn6523 I think it is because it is the first real period we can recall a lot of. I can't remember most of middle school, and less of previous schooling or beyond. And while our time as a child can greatly affect our personality with specific moments, you aren't aware of a lot of things until after puberty. It really sets us up on how we will go into adulthood, and I think most experinces are remembered on a whole as either positive or negative based on how we perceive the outcome. It also is a time where kids become adults and with the hormonal changes and thr new feelings we get, these can be greatly exaggerated. Some people turn into bullies, using newly gained muscle or family station to exert their new found power. Others become the bullied and will remember that clearly.
I never usually feel genuine discomfort and uneasiness when learning about scps but the class of 76 for some reason really puts me on edge

I don't really know why, but the "I couldn't walk with my fellows" line is incredibly creepy to me. Maybe it's because the lingo is entirely alien to a highschooler in the 70s or that it seems to slip into the same style of speech that the Synchopy side uses, but for some reason, that line just...brrrh.

@@wardedthorn6523 Those bodies might be "leftovers" from previous iterations of the world, reset by the Foundation every time humanity died off. In effect, people could literally be seeing themselves. This is just a theory, however, and one that I literally found just now.
One more thing about scp-2316. There's a bunch of text there that is white on a white background. Press ctrl+A to read it. In fact the first actual text of the article is invisible and says "They've been waiting for a long time." Also, the last time the reader is asked to say "I do not recognize the bodies in the water." the invisible text says "I recognize the bodies in the water", which is why it locks you out of the terminal.

Ya I always thought the same but it's more surrounded around SynCo and it's more of a POI possibly if u think. I the story ended though so it's not really of interest if everything is contained about the anomaly and no new ones are being appearing from SynCo. I think it was an event at the 76' kirklongwood high school on the day they were filming that caused all the SCPs around 76' to form. Possibly from everyone's memories it created these very SCPs and the wanting of to finish the year they never did due to SynCo or foundation.

I've read into it a bunch myself, my headcanon is that the foundation conducted experiments in 1976 with the anti telepathy thing, which they weren't prepared to handle, as it wasn't what they thought, and wasn't stopped by amnestics.

The theme of memories probably refers to SCP-3000 events, and the Foundation covering up true reality.
This all leads to SCP-2000, the anomaly supposedly responsible for the Syncope Symphony.
Syncope is also a musical term, so there's a double meaning there
Honestly, this is one of the creepiest SCPs I know. I'm not particulary affected by body horror or cosmic horror. This kind does make me feel scared though, it feels so relatable and real.
I think it's the mystery about the scp that's so scary about it. But it felt weirder when he said this scp is about memory and nostalgia which as if it's meant to sound good, but this scp is just really scary

Problem is their narrative is horrible other than star signs. And that's the second church of hytoth if I'm correct? It's just too big and scattered. Sarkics are basically the easier way to write fifthists and thats why I dont think we see much about them. Also myself I dont find them interesting due to reality warping. Reality warping (on large scales and multiple times in one Scip) turns me off unless done right because you can make the story fit any way you want by using reality benders/warners. I mean you got the color code and gosh dang weirdness but not as fun as say sarkic or they holy church of mehkane.

I still feel that 2316 is, to some extent, a cover-up by the Foundation. It may be a more tame cognitohazard, but through the actions of the Foundation attempting to contain it, it became something much more dangerous in response.

It deals with a school, abandoned, memories, and the fraise "The children used to sing" is found all over the place. It likely could have served as an early testing ground for this group or maybe even there base of operations as there is a door in the school that can not be accessed by people and drones end up back at the stairs when they enter.

Yeh the reason the author for kobdraki is not around is because they got banned due to some poor life choice in other words extreme cyber bullying but his character interesting but most of the time in lore he missing ,dead, or committed suicide probably because of what his author did
