So you have to write in dr.side of cash book once that you have written twice in Cr.side of cash book.16000 ..
Then it will be balance.
You have to make adjustments in dr.side of cash book that you have written twice in cash book 16000

Sir In the cash book the Dr side is considered as Receipts and Cr side is considered as Payments,But in the problem as the 5th and 8th entries are payments from our side then why are we recording it in the Cr side (payment side) of the cash book . Can u plz explain answer to my question???
Even the last answer should tally with the CB or PB balance in the question !!!!
