I have 2 question about Contra entries.The transaction is (Issued a cheque 5000 to petty cash for establishing the petty cash fund). In that case the contra entry will be apply . And the second is : 2nd transaction( Transferred 15000 from SBI to HDFC account) so in this case the contra entry will apply?

In 1st case contra entry is not applied .
But in second contra between SBI and hdfc will apply
