The obsidian blade I’ve been working on did the exact same thing popping out a step fracture. Stuck my flat notching tool against it and tapped it with my mallet and made basically a swimming pool in it. It was definitely a yikes moment.
@ Forgot to say thanks for the shout out on the channel news video! Those may be helping my channel. Lol. Or people are saying who the hell is Sal? Lol either way thanks brother!✌🏻
I sold my truck yesterday. I'm bummed out about it but ive got 10k reasons not to be 😂 onto the next build. Those English nodules can be formed really weird.
Never seen a step fracture make a pool like that before! All those incipients are probably swimming around inside hah 😁 But wtill a masterfully made point! That English flint looks quite fun. You always impress Patrick! Stay warm out there 🥶
Wonder why it's difficult to get English Flint here? I watched 👀 Will Lord collect that flint from a quarry in England 🇬🇧. There were piles of flint at this quarry, and it seemed that the flint was a cast-off from what they were actually mining. 😳 🤷🇬🇧🤔. I like the look of this material. Can't wait to see what you make.👀😲😃👍
As said, shipping cost and also in the UK we have stupid laws and rules about private land and such things. The quarry will went to, he likely got permission because he's will lord.
@KnapperJackCrafty nah, I don't have the know-how to sell rock. I just collect what catches my eye, I have tons of quartz, and I've also found calcite and fossils
I love your videos more than most of the knappers on TH-cam.. and in some of you videos I hear you complain about having to explaining the basics over and over again which I understand, it might be interesting to a lot of your viewers to see you try to do a Tri-face point I’ve seen two done on all of my research but I don’t think either of them had the necessary skills to make as refined of a point as you could do!
Well done looks great considering it’s raw Flint.
Your the man
Thanks David
Nice! ... To me et looked like a confortable flintknapping. The hole is no problem. Just a tool with a hole.
Beautiful aggressive technology Patrick Hahaha, awesome:)
You made a nice hole in that blade. Haven’t seen that one done before!
It was not on purpose, but it does look kind of cool.

@BladesPointsBySgp Only the one's paying attention know who Sal is, that's all that matters. 😁

Looks way thinner than 6 - 1

My dad would have said it's okay it matches the hole in your head
Sounds about right. 😂
I have an absurd amount of access to this type of flint. I live next to a beach with thousands of these
Awesome. Are you go going to sell some?

6:1 is good. To get 10:1 requires some of that: Who-do-vodo, witchdoctor, space alien magic. 👽🤣🤣😃🤪👽👽👽👽
