- It's time for a new let's play on Farming simulator 22. This time around, I'm on Bally Spring with Maizeplus and precision farming. The yard is tight so only small to medium-sized equipment will work. We make a start on the grass fields and also use some AutoDrive to make the job easier

Great stuff! I find myself bemused by the feeding regime required for sheep in Maize Plus. I'm an Australian who lives in the country, our country has millions of sheep and they eat grass. The only time they have other feed provided is during times of drought. Surely it makes more sense for modders to emphasise the importance of sheep dips, drenching and pest control, plus shearing, not only for the fleece but to remove dags and stop sheep getting fly blown? Perhaps the farmers in Germany have different animal husbandry methods? None of this is a criticism of your fine work Scroft, I'm just a country bloke who is confused by these ideas of sheep farming. If those sheep had grass they would not be dead, I think you should add 'em back in - it's realistic. 🙂
I have to add that I enjoyed the dialog too. The passion in your voice came across when you were talking about maize plus and the animal feed.

You need to fill 3/4 categories at least to get health back with maize plus.
For animal enhanced, you can overcrowed but it'll alter health of the whole pen. Good enough until you can sell lambs at a good price though.
Stop faffing now and get work done. You'll see what Georges is living if u hire some farm hand too 😂

Awesome episode! Love the new map - the struggle with small-medium tractors on this map is real! For the mulching, it may be better to use the Dalbo trailed mulcher or something else that's trailed and not 3-point mounted and powered - the power draw is too much on the smaller tractors combined with the hills.

I see there is a Fastrac with 4 wheel steering.
Might be handy with those tight lanes and fields.
I think it’s a great thing being able to make the gateway s bigger and also if you can make your own gateway like if you buy 2 field s so you could make a gateway between them obviously I believe that it should be made easier to do and a cross all systems ie console

Bloody hell didn't know how much more there is to the game playing on pc I'm a console player so seeing this your pretty limited to what you can do on console the auto drive looks pretty smart mate big help well I'm enjoying it so far keep up the good work buddy 👍
A lot of my must have mods are scripts that only work on PC. I watch a lot of MrSealyP and it amazes me how much he does especially when I realise he's doing it all the 'vanilla' way.

You could maybe also use Map Objects Hider mod to hide the gates and replace them with new double ones...
And BTW I really love this series. I love the realism you are putting into it. Keep it going, you are doing an amazing job

If you close the gate, you can go into the construction tab and demolish them
Scroft, that AW trailer has 3 different tip angles you can select 15, 30 & 45 degrees, default is 45, I usually set it to 15 to avoid hitting roofs.

If you mow grass on condition and bale ,it will fill all 4 bars
Love the videos have you considered the new br162 hes done a really good job on it factories need pallets witch is more real as well shop has hrs ect think it would do amazing for role play like the farm hand series

Or just click demolish in game, then build a new gate from the same menu 🤷🏼♂️ dunno why so many struggle with this map

This farm really looks great but I gave up playing on it as I just got sick of my vehicles getting snagged on hedges etc and having to use superstrength to get the out of trouble.
I am a PS4 player myself, but I have to admit. Seeing you with all these courseplay options and all makes me quite jealous. Your let’s plays always brings me new ideas, you take your time playing as ‘real’ as possible. Loved this episode.
If you have the chance, switch to pc. I did 3 years ago. This game is crap on console in my opinion. 😉
If you're serious about farming simulator .... Pc is the way .... The amount of mods is shocking. And so many maps that don't make the mod hub.
Maybe one day we console peasants might get something similar hopefully
@@troyhowling2497 The power over the game is what gets me. Being able to use dev controls in-game and giants editor outside the game is miles above console. I can change xml files at will to make vehicles go faster, trailers and silos to hold more, productions to run faster...or go the other way and make some of these crazy mods more realistic. Whatever you want to do, you are in control! Yeah, get the PC for sure!
Like some others, I don't 'do' maizeplus - I actually think it is too unreal (I do have a farming background) so it is intresting to see you using it. Enjoying the series, so thank you once again. It will be interesting to see how you cope with the challenges of the hills vs horsepower!

As you are gaining a bigger audience perhaps you could consider making a quick video of you removing that gate in GE? I was just commenting on another youtuber's video that GE is so worth the effort for a PC player, even if you have no knowledge of modding. So many people have no clue this functionality is available to them! I know you did at least one (or two?) videos in the past, in fact I recommended that one in my post, but again, you are reaching more people these days.

If the gate on the game is actually closed, you should be able to remove it when you go to the construction menu.
