www.irishimmigration.ie/registering-your-immigration-permission/information-on-registering/immigration-permission-stamps/ check stamp 2A, this will be your wife's visa stamp if she comes to Ireland when you are a PhD student.

Hello sir, I have been told that I'll recieve 25k euro yearly for my phd scholarship, so should I be taxed for that? Or will I get lesser amount after tax deduction? And more importantly am I going to save some money after my monthly spending as I heard ireland is a expensive country to live?
No that is tax free money, basically you will rcv monthly (25000/12). You can save money if you are single staying here, you can not save if you come with your wife who will be your dependent have no work permit so no income by her, and if you have children you can not even live with this money in Ireland.
@@letsgoireland Hi, thanks for your prompt reply. I'll be living alone, and my college is in Dublin city, how much approx cost monthly to stay in a shared apartment with other expenses? And is my medical bill covered in my scholarship? Or do I have to pay for my medical bills?
Can you work anywhere as a PhD student in Ireland? We (MA international students) are stuck with low-paid on-campus positions in the US. I wonder if it is any different in Ireland for PhDs as they are still on student visas.
If you are European citizen you can work without restrictions so far I know, but for non-european citizen 20 hours per week and 40 hours during holiday months. Thank you.
@@letsgoireland moreover, I am unsure if 40 hour work load on top of the research will benefit my PhD experience. I mean: yes, having more money to pay the bills and travel sounds great, but I doubt it will help building a career in the respective field. I work poorly when I am hungry but when I am exhausted and sleep deprived I work even worse. Which, I believe, is similar to one of the points you make in the video.
@@darynagladun7082 Yes, as a serious PhD student in my opinion you will have no time for doing part time job. Period. So you have to depend on the PhD Scholarship only at the end of day. Which is now a day 1800 euro per month nearly if you are funded by SFI.

Thanks for this information
I was hoping to come for a phd with my wife as dependent.
