I run a tech business here which is doing well but looking for a lifestyle change, and my partner has secured a transfer with his Norwegian employer. I'm trying to navigate the paperwork and best order to do things, I'd like to set up as an AS company (similar to Limited company in UK), but seems as though the immigration rules look for a sole proprietorship which is like a single person company... Love your posts! My wife and I want to move to Norway, close to where my Gr Grandfather came from, we both have incomes, so we won't have to work, but will want to do some kind of work. We have our own health insurance, which we will have for life. We live in the US. I can't figure out which option will work for us, it looks like we will have to use a work visa to get there, but trying to find a job it, when we are not there, is not easy. Is there an option for someone who wants to retire in Norway? Thanks.

Hey Ivanna. Hope you are doing well. This video certainly helped me to apply for a skilled worker visa at UDI portal. I have been offered a Postdoc position at Rikshospitalet Oslo. I have submitted my application at VFS global on march 3, 2022. My employer at Rikshospitalet has no provision to provide accommodation Postdoc researchers and need to manage on my own. So in this case I have given a self-declaration on a sheet of paper about my plan of arranging my Norwegian stay.
I have mentioned that once I get my VISA and plan my travel, I will book temporary accommodation through AIRBNB for 1-2 months and then make arrangements for a long-term stay. This should not be a concern right?
Please suggest. And what do you think how long might be waiting time now due to the current crisis. My official joining date of the contract is April 1,2022. Thanks in advance!. Good Day.

The best is to check with UDI because through the last year many things are constantly changing.

Cyber security at NTNU is one of the best in the country. I do not see often these job openings on regular websites for job search. Only from time to time a couple of them. It may be that they are published at some places I am not aware of.

Thank you for this! If one happens to get a job in Norway that isn't really "skilled work," like a minimum wage job of some kind, do you know if there's a different process? Is this maybe not even allowed?
If you are from EU or EEA countries, then you should be able to get in Norway with no troubles, but if you need a visa than you can search for one the groups I mentioned in the video. Skilled work is only one out of 9 types of work visa in Norway.
What if you don't have high education and have a job offer can you successfully be accepted? And can i get a job offer from locals? Or it must be a big company to get the approval?

Which application are you working on? Typically in application for a job, you don’t feel this information. If it is for visa, you apply for visa after you sign a contract.
@@IvannasNorskLife it was for 'job seeker'. I called UDI and they said one can put in a hotell for the first couple of weeks, but it wouldn't have matter in my case anyway. I wanted to renovate and rent houses there, but I'd have to do it as a business and earn at least $30k a year profit. So...dreams are a little crushed right now, lol. Thanks for your rely though :)

I was paying it every single time. You could ask on the interview whether a company is open to cover these expenses.
