Nothing new. People from NE India who are practicing Judaism have been migrating and settling down in Israel for years now. And everyone from a certain age there needs to enrol in the army as a rule. Last I heard there was even these kids from my tribe that have gotten national awards for some sports and art work too. But yeah, once they are Jews who's joined the Israel army, you can pretty much say they won't be identifying as Indians, much less Gujaratis anymore.

Nah,we don't need such recruitment or an expensive compulsory health programme.
Such health problems mostly exist in upper income countries and forced recruitment in Upper to upper middle income countries and forced recruitment in those that are small and have the threat of war at any moment.India is neither of such county,We're a lower middle income large country with the 2nd largest population.
It's pretty much useless in India and makes no sense,India doesn't even face a physical fitness epedimec,all we have to do is passive promotion through programmes such as offering benefits in public services to those who exercise etc. and that'd be good enough.
*India more importantly needs to train it's labourers and farmers to become workers for manufacturing which would actually grow our economy and makes sense in India due to it's extremely vital push for becoming a Manufacturing hub,one that would determine it's future as a nation and it's military capabilities as economies usually do.*

Because if you are living in Israel and were born in Israel, getting education in Israel. There is mandatory 2 years military services in Israel and other EU countries before you could get any proper job, if anyone tries to skip it, they will be forced to do that and if still persists they will never get job in that Country. That's why majority of Countries have Nationalism in them & less anti-national breeds like India got in the name of Swara Bhosad and Bhosad Dutt.

They are Israeli citizens of Indian heritage. As a citizen its part of their duty, why going gaga over it their are many such people in Israel & its nothing new.

I'll explain the situation so basically their parents were work migrants who had come to Israel for a job on a temporary Visa but during that time in Israel they had children who were born in Israel and according to Israeli law regardless of your religion if you are born in Israel you must serve in the army. This is a common sight in Israel you have many non-jewish Filipinos who serve in the army because their parents were work migrants who had them be born in Israel same for many people from Thailand and many other Indians who are the children of work migrants they are legally required to serve in the Israeli Army regardless of religion so that's the story here this girl isn't Jewish and her family isn't Jewish either
