This is the best most clear and concise explanation sizing and fitting I’ve come across. Thank you Val and REI!

Absolutely the best explaination of size and fit I've seen. Where were you Val when I bought my Fuji?!! The bike shop "kid" wasn't of much help I think because of my age being way older than he was.....

Val: Makes an awesome video of size and fit for your perfect bike.
    Me: Wonders what Miranda rides.

I know nothing about bikes but have been toying with the idea of getting a mountain bike. This all made sense to me as a newbie. Good info and well-explained.

If you're going to ride on the street, you might be interested in buying a hybrid bike instead of a mountain bike.

I love this video. I've been thinking about biking for a while and needed a place to start. I think (based on the last video) I'd prefer a road or hybrid bike. For someone new to biking, is a there a good price range to consider for an introductory bike? Or are there ways to take a basic bike frame and replace parts of it to make a "better" more enjoyable ride as you go?

I would recommend you go to different bike shops and test-ride different sizes and types of bikes. Many shops will allow you to ride through the parking lot, etc. See how it feels, if you would like to sit upright, or forward for speed. How does it feel to have your neck bent? In what position do you feel most safe, stable and supported? Take your time. Choose salespeople who ride and know their products. If you have a free bicycle program in your area, there you go! Don't be shy, bicyclists are a friendly lot! Enjoy your search!

Great vid, you're a hoot! I have to be brave and say no if this bargain bike L is too small for me.

Fantastic video!!! I'm perplexed by the use of open-toed shoes in a "how-to" video related to any biking; but she looks really cute!

I ride my bikes with sandals. Before that I used hiking boots.

Well one should not really listen to the manufacturer... Most people that end up having a bike fit (a bit too late) because of problem chose the wrong size and bikes that are too large. Shops trying to sell you what is available rather than what fits add to this.
I have very short legs and a longer torso. It's impossible to get a proper fitting bike when I listen to the manufacturer.
