@Nzplayer80. "he needed to be behind the all blacks head which created the offside line" -- Since when has an offside line been created by a player's head, when he's on his feet? You're talking nonsense.
There's an argument to be made that the ABs created the offside line if you are very liberal at interpreting the law that says an offside line at a tackle is created by players on their feet *over the ball*, as they were a couple of metres in front of the ball rather than over it. But even then, it looks as though the ball is out of the back of the ruck before they step forward to put Lawes offside. It was a very close call, and could have gone either way without being obviously wrong.
@Nzplayer80. Was exceptionally close. I know the relevant law and it specifically states that the offside line if formed by people on their feet *over the ball*. Those kiwis are not over the ball. But even if you accept that the frontmost part of the frontmost New Zealander forms the offside line, the England player on the ground did form the offside line for a long period, until the Kiwi player stepped forwards. And if you freeze frame at 0:38 you can see the New Zealander placing his foot to move the offside line forwards. At that very point, the ball is out of the back of the tackle area in the SH's hands (so open play) AND Lawes still has not grounded his front foot.
Even if you take the position that the moment that the NZ player grounded his foot (moving the offside line) Lawes is offside (having not been offside prior to that) but that the ball is still not out of the tackle despite being clear of the back foot and in the hands of the SH then yes, it's offside. But by a fraction of a second and a matter of inches. And that's only if you interpret every step of the process in a way favourable to the ABs.
I can say with some confidence, having played it frame by frame, that it's a call that could have gone either way (I don't the think it was a wrong call, but I don't think it would have been wrong to award the try either). I can also say with total confidence that anyone who thinks it's a clear call either way does not understand the laws of the game.

I’m sorry but underhills try was legal. Laws wasn’t offside. As the scrum half picks the ball up the back foot(offside line) is then gone. Personally think the TMO should have gone back further to before the scrum half picked the ball up and the ball was still on the ground.
To be honest, I'm glad they didn't give the try whether it was or wasn't a try. If the try had been given, imagine all the comments saying 'the refs biased' and 'they have to cheat to win'. England never really win anyway, everyone is against us no matter what
