Congrats on the fish shame it wasn't tag and release taking a huge breeding fish out of the system is disappointing. The chance of survival is a big question I guess but it would have been worth a role of the dice.Just my thoughts and again congrats on the fish and it is good to see Exmouth producing this size fish.

There was two fish 20 years ago one caught bye George lea and the other bye Mel Kisbey . Sorry about my spelling of the names guy's. Both just under 500 kilos and both out of Batesman Bay NSW south coast. Look them up

We spend thousands of hours hunting a fish like this and it takes true skill and determination to hook, catch and take a fish like this. it is not something any fishing team can do. It is very easy to say you released a GRANDER putting it on the gantry is a whole different level.

Well said! couldn't agree more. If it's catch and release the same people will argue with the Wight. Oh maybe 400 nah 450 .. it's gose on . Anyway it's not like he is catching 2/3 fish every day . I hope you use the flesh wisely. Thanks

Catch and release. No need to kill. A photo/video will prove your day out. Such a magnificent creature really deserves our full respect.

Should of tagged and released a stunning creature like that for others to catch,if you were fishing for that properly, that would have taken over 15 hrs, really sad....

Not sure where you got your info on it taking 15hrs?? not even close. Can you elaborate on fishing properly???

Sad to kill such a beautiful creature for bragging rights. Doesn’t make much sense to me.

Why did you not release such a beautiful fish. There is no reason to kill such a beautiful creature. Shame I will not be watching this channel again. There are many other channels that catch and release. So sad
