Alvaro, seeing your art is a fantastic experience, but listening to you speak & reading your words has had a giant effect on my art. Drawing, painting, composition, even the way I see the subject. I wont steal your philosophy or repeat it as if its mine, because it is not, this is your philosophy that you generously choose to share with us. Instead, to express the impact you have had, I will only say this here: Where I use to b a draftsman & one who pursued abstraction within the image, now I seek the lion. Not only is the art better, my joy, my excitement level during the process has reached another level.

Yes he's a master draftsman. I've seen many people trying to copy his style and they always fail in the drawing department. Alvaro's drawing may seem inconspicuous and non important when you see the final product but is definitively a key part for producing a successful watercolor in his particular style (and not producing a bunch of unconnected, non-harmonious, bad proportionate "loosen" blobs of "passionated" colors)
