Excellent video! It is rare that a technical book can capture both my interest and imagination. The video offers a fantastic summary of the book in corroborating what David Perrodin' is trying to get across in his book "The Velocity of Information... Human Thinking During Chaotic Times" is all about. Chapter 1, Temporal Perception goes into details to discuss the contributing factors alluded to in the video that adds to confusion in what is seen and heard. For example, "See something, say something" might appear as plausible for police agencies who have the capacity and resources to process volumes of information in arriving at corroboration and validation of sourced information while the reality is that workplaces do not have the capability are probably prohibited by labor law as well as privacy and confidentiality rules from monitoring and tracking employee behaviors. The video in the 5 minutes touches on so many critical points essential to the processing of information based on observations. Chapter 2 Face Validity, ties in nicely in my mind's eye with the chapter on Finite Voltage. You gotta have perspective to be credible. All-in all, I can see how an employee's identification of warning signs can be missed in connecting the proverbial dots. Risk factors assessed by coworkers whose perceptions are compromised by familiarity and other personal relations might create barriers to reporting as they justify and rationalize the decision to report. Joe Dolio's narrative in the video exceeds my expectations in sumarizing the importance of Situational Awareness and verifying observations. I hope this makes sense.

Felix, Joe contributed significantly to Velocity of Information (Indicators / Member Checks) and he produces brilliant work at his Tactical Wisdom website. He also has an invaluable Tactical Wisdom book series.

Good entry Joe. Confirmation bias is a helluva drug & it's easy to become addicted.
