工房にもお邪魔させていただいたことがある「履物さんえす」さんの
浅草の実店舗に行ってきました。
知ってるようで知らない日本の伝統的な履物。
デザインや履き心地で選んでも楽しいが、その用途や歴史を知っていると
さらに興味深いものに。
そしてこの伝統は今、環境問題にも目を向けた新作へと繋がる。
I visited the Asakusa store of "Sanesu Footwear", a company that I have visited in their studio.
Traditional Japanese footwear is something you may know, but you may not know it.
It's fun to choose footwear based on design and comfort, but it's even more interesting
when you know about their uses and history.
And this tradition is now leading to new products that also focus on environmental issues.
