As you wrapped up the video, you said, “I hope that was interesting” And yes, it was! You always have content that inspires and informs us. Have a great summer Adelina. Greetings from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Wow, I am so grateful for your very kind words Adelina and referral to my channel! Feeling so blessed to have met you and to call you my friend. I can hardly wait for our camping trip and to finally meet your friend. I know we’re going to have a FABulous time. Loved your Q&A today. See you in a few weeks! ❤️
I just retired and I have been trying to get over the feeling of being indispensable. I am enjoying the time to rest. I will be moving soon and then I will be doing a lot of sewing. Clothes, quilts and decor. The company WILL carry on. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Being debt free is definitely the key to a successful retirement. It worked for me and you don’t need as much money to retire as all the financial advisors claim. Keep it up 👌
I aspire to have my coffee cup match my shirt so beautifully! Love your Fiesta Ware! Great video, I thought about retirement every day too. I am there now and have been for 4 years. It is the best thing to be able to just do what you want when you want. What you said about friendship is so true. Being an introvert also, I am perfectly comfortable alone.
Hello Adelina! Thanks for sharing. People had some good questions and I feel like you did a great job answering! Looks forward to the next video. Enjoyed our coffee time! Lol Have a good week! 🥰
No no I would love to see you in your plot with a house or in this pretty tiny home not van home...loved this video..your coffee cup matching with your lovely attire..and I love to listen to you with my cup of coffee..would love to see your birthday vlog this year .
As I approach retirement, I'd like to relocate from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but real estate costs are absurdly high, and mortgage rates have been steadily rising (now over 7%). Shall I simply put my extra money into stocks and wait for the housing market to crash, or should I purchase a house now?
I concur entirely. I recently retired and had no debt, about 1.2 million in outside retirement accounts, and very little in retirement funds compared to the size of my portfolio during the previous three years. In actuality, the invt-advisor's significance can only be ignored as opposed to denied. only need to look into it to get a trustworthy one.
It matters not how much money you save, but how you handle it. Whether you work for a living or invest, it still boils down to revenue vs. expenses, so sure, you may look into financial consultants for a strategy that suits you.

I love seeing Sophie ❤. I have said it before, but your house design is perfect. I really like the stairs up to your bedroom! Your kitchen is roomy, you have your desk space and cute living room! Smart design:)
I always wanted to learn Braille myself! I can sign my name and the easy thank you but I’d love to learn more. Love “our” coffee chats Adelina. I always look forward to Sundays. 🎉
I just started watching your channel and am in Awww. You are living my dream life, having a van and a tiny home is my dream. I do have an RV and spent a winter on the island a few years ago, I absolutely loved it! Someday I'll be back. Oh and I'm a graphic/web designer/developer if you are in need of any advise 😊
@@myBIGtinyhouselife I'm currently in Edmonton. I'm in the process of selling my RV (C Class) and looking for a van. Love how simple you set yours up and just know I can do it too! You are very encouraging. Oh and we are the same age! LOL
I used a small hot house as a catio. I placed it outside of a window under the backporch. I placed a piece of wood in the lower half of a window and installed a cat door in the wood. The hot house opens up on top which allows access to the cat litter box. It has worked super well. I did it for the purpose of having the litter outside.🎉🎉
Thank you for your openness and sharing all you do! Canadians are tough cookies living in the cold! I’m in Florida now and loving the weather coming from Ohio USA, not enough sunshine for me there. I finally started making the Gingerbread Coffee Creamer recipe you shared. It’s great, I love it! I don’t know why but it’s too thick to strain so I use it as it is at that point and it’s still great. I’m spoiled now with all of it’s natural goodness…like no other. Look forward to looking into your other recipes! Thanks!
Good morning to you today. I was drying my hair and cleaning my bedroom as I listened to your on my ear pods today. Hot in Az as we stayed down here inside of going to Wa this summer.

You wouldn't have any problem learning how to do a web page if you wanted to and had a little time to do it. The web page companies make it fairly easy with lots of beautiful templates and setups for storefront if desired. There are lots of video demos. An advantage of making it yourself is that you know how to work with it yourself and control it to your satisfaction as you grow with it. However, if you prefer to hire someone and invest your time in another way, that is also totally understandable. You have options! 😊
Just to add, it really doesn't take that much time to set up a website. I could not have done the volunteer sites if it did! Just switch out some reading or movie time for website work.
Adelina, it is always interesting to 'visit' with you. I'm 66 and watch my grandson during the week and also his sister during summer vacation. My husband is 70 and just retired. We are both introverts and would be perfectly happy with just family, but do enjoy our church family and neighbors. Being debt free when you retire is very important. In California where I live is quite hot in summer but thank God for air conditioning both in the house and car and you even need a light sweater in most restaurants. But yes outdoors isn’t fun for long. Thanks for sharing❤
Love your videos - and appreciate your being up front about being a vegan and sharing great recipes. A kindred spirit! I also appreciate your positivity - leaves me feeling uplifted. For which I thank you!
My husband will be 75 come July and doesn't intend to retire. He is a self-employed architect, and he works in the mornings and then works on the gardens and grass. I retired as a teacher when Covid closed the school. I do all of our financial needs, plus billings of clients. Just be financially sound before you totally retire.
I admire your lifestyle and your independence. Having women friends is very important. I would love to find a new friend I could chat with over coffee. I usually get a cup when I join you. Our lives are very different but I feel like I could spend hours talking with you. I know you are going to address land in your another video. I hope you can buy your land by the time you retire. I lived many years on several secluded acres. It was wonderful. Living there debt free was a great feeling. We recently moved to a retirement community where we have much less responsibility and help close by if we need it. I started watching you when we started talking about moving into a smaller place. You make living in the tiny house look comfortable and happy. It has been an adjustment for me to be in a small cottage but I'm glad we made the move. I have much less responsibility here but you make me want to continue to learn new things. As a side note, I am old enough to be your mother. Thank you for thinking of the folks enduring the heat. We are having an unusually hot dry June in central VA.
Hello Carolyn. Thanks so much for your comment. It's nice to have less in the way of chores and maintenance for sure. I dream of living sustainably on a small holding. I'll make it happen one day if I can. 😊
Great video. i really love your tiny house especially because it's a gooseneck. I cannot do a loft. I would love to live tiny but I don't think my state is tiny friendly as i think many states. Thank you for your insights and inspiration. I am in one of those states experiencing the heat wave. The older I get the more I don't seem to be able to handle the extreme heat or cold.
Have your van a/c looked at then get a freon boost or hard charge. Mine has lasted two years in Texas where I use my a/c everyday. Ha ha It's a heat thang! Enjoyed the video. Take care and have a great week. I would say don't do meet-ups. Have seen ladies who prepared and traveled to meet and no one showed up. It was so disappointing and sad to see the hurt in their eyes.
Adding to your great list of hobby groups, I would say look for community service groups and volunteer opportunities. Other people who care about others, the community, animals, nature, etc. typically make good friends.
Happy Sunday Adelina and Dear Sophie. I really enjoyed your Q&A . Interesting answers to which I could relate to myself. 😊The little snippet you showed while going in and out to hang your laundry was nice too. Very cute little welcoming spot. Glad to know that you have given some thought about a catio for Sophie. That’s going to be another nice video and I’m looking forward to watching it. Yay! ❤🐈
It's funny how you were talking about the heat. My daughter and I were having a conversation about needing air conditioning. I was trying to tell some places it doesn't get that hot. Today it will be probably in the 90s F. Like you said look it up,to convert to Celsius. But I am staying inside or trying to go out in the morning. When it is cooler. Like you said I'm curious. How did your dad pick Canada, to work in. I know my husband grandparents came from Germany and the other ones came from Hungry . I know why one set came. But why did they pick the United States? Just like I'm curious why your dad picked Canada. I talk with my hands all the time. And I have been here forever. My husband even caught me one time. Talking to myself and of course using my hands and asked me what I was talking about.😂 Have a good week.
Great video and someday…. Sooner than later. I like heat better, cold even when bundled my innards don’t get warm. Heat whew was 42 with humidity the other day. It’s cooler today and sunny although calling for rain.

Hi Adelina I speak Portuguese fluently but now only to my sister but trying hard to speak it to my grandchildren 😂 we live in Australia and my husband is South African so we speak English all the time I understand how you feel - I was born in Mozambique and left to South Africa during the war - that just a bit for you to get to know me too - you are an amazing lady - abracos ❤
I just got here!! ❤❤❤ and I am so excited to watch the Q&A! Thank You giiiiiirl 🎉😅🔥🎯🫶🏾💕🪅🥳🧚🏾♀️ I Hope you and Sophie are doing well altogether as always.
My Portuguese grandfather didn’t want us to speak Portuguese, sadly. My Dad did speak Portuguese when he could with Grandpa saying, “speak English, you can speak Portuguese when you go back to visit”. My high school didn’t offer Portuguese so I took French and don’t remember much of it though. Friends would say, take Spanish so you can speak Portuguese - so very different!!
For your camping trips i just saw a video from Lulus Way here on YT about all sorts of gadgets that might interest you, but I know you are very resourceful and have a lot of great things in the van.
Loved the Q&A. I wondered where you got the window louvers for Vanuela and what they are actually called. My Amazon searching key words were not cutting it, LOL! Regarding setting up a website. I feel you on that one and trying to navigate it without outsourcing it. I feel that at the age we are at, (I will be 57 this July) that I still have a slight technology gap! North Florida has been miserable and at least we have AC. We could use some rain for sure in our area. Have a great week and stay cool too.
Good video. Hi, sweet Sophie…you’re so cute when you come strolling into frame to greeet your public. 😁 The past two weeks or so here have been brutal…mid-90’s, no cloud cover, not a drop of rain. I mowed my mom’s yard yesterday and basically just kicked up dust and sweated for 60+ minutes. The upcoming 7-10 days looks to be more of the same. I’d LOVE a good 1-2 days of cloudy skies and steady, cooling rain. We’re reaching that “brown crunchy grass that doesn’t grow” phase, which we typically don’t see until late-Julynor August, so summer just hit early this year. All of June has been more toasty than usual, but it’ll pass at some point and settle back down again. My friend in Arizona, the Phoenix area, has had weeks of triple digits. 108-117, whichbI can’t even wrap my head around. I’d just lay down and die to death. 🥵😩😊

Great video! I enjoyed the Q&A! Have a great week!♥
Thank you! You too!
Hi. Yes, while Spanish and Portuguese are similar I find that Venezuelan is actually much closer to Portuguese.
For your camping trips i just saw a video from Lulus Way here on YT about all sorts of gadgets that might interest you, but I know you are very resourceful and have a lot of great things in the van.
I saw that video 😊.
Interesting video - thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
I worked to age 65… debt free after a divorce and personal bankruptcy (at age 50) .
Loving my life.
Good for you!
Hi. The company is Canadian. I love them. Stay cool!😎
Location for a meetup, could be a park.
Good video. Hi, sweet Sophie…you’re so cute when you come strolling into frame to greeet your public. 😁
The past two weeks or so here have been brutal…mid-90’s, no cloud cover, not a drop of rain. 🥵😩😊
That's far too hot for me! Climate change is definitely making things hotter each year.
@@myBIGtinyhouselife That, OR too many damn people in the entertainment, media and political fields opening their mouths and all trying to talk at the same time. SO much hot air out there... 🤣
Love chatting with you lol. Do you have a list of the items to link to that you have in your van? I watched the van build video, so darn practical, and googled the Ikea items but the rest where did you get them? Thanks!
Hi! If you check out the van build playlist you'll see a video dedicated to all the IKEA products I used as well as other videos.
@@myBIGtinyhouselife will do, thanks!
When your boss makes you feel guilty for taking vacation I call that an issue….not an ishme
I live that!
🙋♀ Hi, Adelina! Excellent Q+A. Kisses + skritches to Sophie 😘😽 -V
