  • Where you can go and find your own fire agates and Jack will also teach you how to wire wrap your findings. He also has a day where he will go out with you or you can hire him to go dig in a mine with you. Either way it ends up being a fantastic day hunting fire agates.

I purchased some turquoise from him on my way back from Oatman earlier this year. He showed us some great pieces of fire agate he had collected. Great guy and very enthusiastic about his rocks!

Might like to discuss hunting with you in Jan. From Chandler. We'll be two bearded grey hairs. Got some agate from Saddle Mtn recently but not the quality I see on your site.

Love the video. Where are you and the collection of rocks located? We'd love to see your beautiful collection. We just moved here from the Colorado mountains last November love rock hounding. Temperatures are perfect here (excluding the wind) and want to get out and do some exploring. I've watched this several times and would love to visit the place where you have your collection.

This area is located on the Cuesta fire agate mine owned by a man named Don Nelson. It is not free. It is actually a fee dig site, which only cost $40 a day and helps an elderly man live his dream in the desert. A lot of people think this location is free and open. He has leased this land for a lot of years so don’t be mistaken. I have collected here for over 20 years. A lot of people think that it’s free it is BLM land which means it’s free to camp. You just cannot collect any fire agates on his leased land period….
