    “Starkhaven’s full of assholes.”
I’m sure Prince Sebastian Vael would disagree.

Is there a reason Taash is so rude? She sounds like she hates everything 😂

@@dubbzy92 They are young, have a strained relationship with their mother, struggle with their bicultural and gender identity without understanding the source of their struggle, and have anger issues because of it. They grow supper supportive of everyone on the team though.

She’s insecure bc of her mother

@@Allaiya. They're not rude. They lack social skills. Also they still live with their mom. Moms bring out the teenagers in the worst of us, lol. I'm 37 and my mom makes me 17 every time I visit.

taash kinda reminds me of a teenager especially with the arguments with mom and basic interactions with the rest of the team

@@DragonflyandTheWolf They are blunt & upfront which some people take that as rude. But you’re right, she’s probably not well socialized given her mother seems to have sheltered them.
I thought it was refreshing though given that most of the other companions are largely agreeable.
I still think Taash is a great character but most people only focus on the non-binary part & to be fair that is the main focus in their quest line.
But they also have underlying self esteem issues because of their mother being so critical and not showing much affection.
Just speaking as someone with similar parents, that’s what I saw. Nothing is ever good enough for them & even into adulthood, it makes one question their abilities which we see Taash do once confronted with the blighted arch demon. It shakes their confidence.
This is noticeable, albeit subtle, with Taash if you don’t do her quest line about her identity before you do the blighted dragons.
Harding will say ‘we have a dragon hunter now’ & Taash response is either confident or not depending if you did the quest that addresses the underlying issues.
It’s just one sentence but it does change.
