Shame you missed out in the snow, my mate was up there right in the middle of it and the views were amazing. Loved the old church and a canny camping pod too, basic but better than a tent in this weather. Nice to see you getting some decent weather and great views too, cheers Alan

The church and grounds are beautiful and the history of it must be interesting. The pods look interesting and the stone ridge looks fun. An interesting area indeed.

Great video Gaz, how stunning are those views. The cave looked amazing, you can't beat a bit of gammon and that mash isn't bad. The church looked beautiful to buddy

That Lytch Gate is well cool, reminded me of my village one where I grew up. Good price that for the pods... stunning views up on the hill 👍

You got a bit close to that edge of cliff but worth the view.
I always like a bit of grub footage when camping and hiking.
You should have walked down them steps in that reservoir to find King Arthurs Sword.
Nice views on Bamford Edge.
Stanage-North Lees Campsite. Now that sounds a place worth a visit if I ever do.

Interesting to see Little John's grave.. awesome !! The pods are superb Gaz mate !! ..and the setting is wonderful for sure !! ..and I love the ancient woodland !! I bet the spirit of Robin Hood is in there mate !!
It was interesting to see the grave , wasn't sure if it was all legend or actually real , some really nice woodland and cliffs in the area to explore, thanks mate 👍
nice one, those rock pools were swirling in that wind lol, I must look into pod camping down here, might do me for a while, whispers, I'm hoping to get a van just waiting on some inheritance money lol
That would be cool getting a van , let me know lezley I'd do a walk with you sometime if you go the peaks, or join you on a cook out, I'm hoping to get back the Peak District a lot this year , this video is from 2 years ago 😂, atb

👍 #31 Hi Gaz, looking at the wonderful church you slowed down on the carved oak chairs... I used to have a set of six Victorian oak carved backed chairs similar to those and an 1840s extending balllustrade oak dining table. I sold them most of my old antiques when I moved house, to help towards my next house. The pods are great and yours was in a really good position close to the water hole. I'd be putting the trail camera over that at night time for sure. (I bet you never got one lol). I love the inside and I'd be using one of the blow up mattresses you have shown in the past... heating and electric.... I'd take a pod over a tent if it were a fixed site, although you can't carry the pod up a hillside or into the woods etc. Around the 6:00 mark and onwards would be grat for raptors on a less windy day too. Interesting cave! Blimey! on 11:45 and *in that wind* I would not be able to stand freely close to the edge like that, lol... no way. A great video my friend thank you. 👍◕‿◕
@WildlifeBirdsUK thank you for watching and the nice comment, I do have a trail cam now , only a budget one , I hope to try it on a camp this year , the Pods were nice and warm , nice having the radiator and space to dry clothes. The chairs in the church were impressive, the detail in the carvings must have taken some skill , take care, all the best 👍
@@GazianoOutdoors It's worth putting the camera out on each location and it would be a nice addition to your videos if you captured some wildlife through the night hours.

North lees has improved since I was last there, the midges were a nightmare in summer lol.
I hope you don't mind me pointing it out, but that was actually robin hoods balcony you were on, robin hoods cave is totally separate and involves a short vertical climb up/down to it. As you look at the balcony facing Stanage, the cave is down and to the left with a wide chimney leading up to it.
Most people mistake the balcony for the cave, including myself until it was pointed out to me by a climber years ago 🙂
@trooperwolfie hi mate , not at all , I'll have to have a mooch for that now next time , that balcony and cave is cool but full of water , would be nice when dry, the site was nice but this was near autumn so less gnats about, thanks for the info mate , I'll have to find the proper cave next time 😂👍 all the best
@GazianoOutdoors no worries mate 👍🏻 I've got a video on my channel showing where the "real" cave is...and a photo collage of when myself and 12 friends/colleagues bivied in it one February years ago. I've also slept in the balcony cave but it was obviously dry then 🤣 and I've also bivied on the ledge leading upto the balcony etc....again, when it's been dry in summer 👍🏻
