Can you feel it? When each of us does our part, the ripple effect … its mind-boggling! One and all, we’re crossing the threshold of a world built from obsolete patterns of thought, speech and behavior to a welcome new world of unimaginably glorious growth in the garden of our heart, in both spiritual and practical terms literally and figuratively…
I have had the privilege of sponsoring several Holly concerts and know her. She is real, brilliant, a wonderful voice and unfailing efforts to promote peace from many angles. She is an untiring activist and is definitely a gift that many more people should hear and know.
YES - just know that the song is actually called "Planet Called Home" and is on her CD Edge. "Souls are coming back" is the last lines of the song. Holly is always so amazing but this song is truly one of her very best. Such a vision and such a prayer told as a story. Let us all wake up and pretend...
Really, very exciting song indeed !! I loved it very much !! Yes. Indeed it was a Holy & great spiritual song & it was purely a Gift to the Nation & the whole World !!
I would like to know if Holly has recorded a version of Singing for Our Lives with the version of Marching for Our lives. I think this should be the anthem for the current protests.
Each generation a glorious calling... There was no promise that they could save it... Do one thing to alter the outcome... To know for a moment that we are all One... Can you call on your imagination? Thank YOU Holly Near!
Watching the names with faces I could only gasp for so many of them were still babes and so young and with so much hope for the future. As I compared their fresh faces with my own sons at that age my tears did begin. They are so beautiful they were so beautiful, everyone. More and more it appears we are in pain for the Orlando folks because a young man who was likesly abused as a child and taught that if he should be attracted to another "man" then he was a horrible mistake to the world so he behaved as so self loathing and hate for the ones he really was attracted to. This young man was in anger and pain almost every moment of his life. He tried to be a normal man a real man but the world tempted him and so he led a double life which eventually fed into hate for another likely for attracting him. He was a regular at the Pulse. He was on numerous gay men's sites. And then one day he decided it was too horrible and he was too horrible and we have near 50 dead young men and a couple of women. How How how why why why. Pain and self hate are unbearable to live with. Forgiveness he acted in anger and with no love in Orlando. His father has said he wished his son had never been born. No wonder.
Yes, but... does it really matter? What if we all awake and make everything better - how long does it take, until we fall down again? It is ok as it is. In every age, in every situation, we will have the possibility to be who we are and have a nice life. If we try to save others, we will go down with them. Every single one of us creates his world as it is. No one can change that. If we concentrate on this fact, instead of trying to create a different world for others, than we will help others by helping ourselves. In the moment many of us just do not deserve to live and that is the real problem. But nice song, yes.

When the bottom gets too close for the world, I listen to a Holly Near song and then call or write another politician.
