How interesting... Joanna's correlation between uncertainty (and not-knowing) and its gift: presence/here and now/choice, which I'd say all go hand in hand in a cluster.
Life is always poetically beautiful (thank you,too, BTW for Raine Maria Rilke's wonderful poem), and we're now being precisely challenged to reverse the imbalances created by the predominance of instrumental reason (and/or logic) in all our stands in the world that has been based on our long-held misconception of certainly which in turn has led us to commoditize our very stand in Life.
So we're now being forced to do without certainty by precisely being urged to BE and DO for the sake of it, genuinely; somehow 'choose without knowing what's more convenient', without knowing the results you'll yield, without access to a certainty that has allowed you to figure out how you can manipulate reality (as in any reality, any department of life) better.
You know what you're doing is driving the world to a quick collapse. You can try something else. You just don't know what's gonna happen if you do, and paradoxically that's the only chance left:
what would you really do? As in, what would you really do if there was no warranty of reward? Where do you really stand?
The only choice available is that you enact the world you want to live in NoW, HERE, at every crossroad, at every choice... For the sake of it. That's the only world you can create. Now is all you've got for certainty.
Where do yo stand in every situation, big and small, of your life? What do you choose to do or not to do? Now.

Words of hope and comfort and false platitudes as the biosphere circles the drain. Most People are no longer even human, but robots, just consumer units, in free fall into the jaws of utter destruction ,into the dust bin of oblivion.

It might be, but that's the essential point of our time, the heart of what she spoke of but did not mention, is a choice that we all can make in every moment big and small, that even and often without our comprehension may just take us beyond a human inflicted extinction of humanity along with the biosphere as we know it. We don't have to be a 'late phase western culture', when we realise the already present future phase global culture existing in all of us, wanting to be chosen in every moment.

I view this choice as a personal choice of honor or (accepted) defeat.
What will a person choose after they've become aware of our societies darkside and our collective integrated responsibility.
It may be our most difficult choice, honor or accepted defeat ?
Don't forget about the animals. The violence that we perpetrate toward the animals....especially those that we have chosen as food source.....is the direct cause of all the human to human violence we are now experiencing in the world today. If we stop the violence toward the animals....and stop breeding them for no other reason but to eat their flesh....We will then see the human to human violence discipate until it is overcome. It will be The Meek (those who do no harm) who will inherit the New Earth.....Join the ranks of the Pure in Heart.....Promote Heaven on Earth.....Be Strong....Be Wise....Be Brave....Live a life that is Vegan and let us Set The Captives Free! Food Is Not Born....and the Time of Reckoning is here.

Utopians sure love their word salad. Lots of complaining with vague blame and empty problem solving. The belief that good intentions and circle-jerk language will accomplish something. These people gaining power will be truly horrific. Better get good at talking like them now, because they won't allow dissenters to coexist.
Edit: She says intention is more important than results. You can't eat intention. This is literally a just church sermon accept about almost nothing.
