The original version of this song, The One, is a love song to the fans. Babymetal began noticing that non-Japanese fans were learning how to sing Babymetal songs in Japanese so they could sing along with Babymetal. They were very touched by this and wanted to create a song expressing their love to the fans and wanted to express that the fans were a part of Babymetal and always would be. This version of the song IS very short, and the full version of the song always gets to me and gets me a bit emotional because knowing the story behind it. That is why she sings it in English. The girls figured, if Non Japanese fans were going to learn Japanese to sing the songs, the could do the same and learn the lyrics in English for a song. Su went to later on learn how to say different phrases in about 17 different languages to be able to talk to fans all over the world when they would go on tour out of respect to each and every country they performed at.

I found them during a bit of a dark time in my life and they helped me through that dark time with their uplifting song and dance and their smiles and cutesiness. So they won me over for life just for that reason alone. I've ALSO read in comments in some of their songs where people have stated they literally saved peoples lives as people were preparing to end themselves and then they discovered Babymetal near the very last moment and Babymetal helped them through their darkest moment. So if these stories are true, then Babymetal is doing God's work and doing good in a world that has become increasingly dark.

As they toured the world they were touched that their foreign fans had learned the Japanese lyrics of their songs to sing along with them. They decided they must show their appreciation and do something special for the fans in return, so they challenged themselves to learn a song completely in English. This is that song and it is dedicated to the fans - who they also named The One of course. It is effectively their love letter to the fans.❤

If you want to listen to the original, I recommend listening to "The One [Stairway to Living Legend]". In this version, one of the original members is missing due to a long-term health problem, so it's just the two of them, but at the end it's revealed that they were all three at heart. After listening to that, I also recommend listening to "The One (Offical)". This is performed by three original members. There is also a wonderful version called "The One (Legend S)", but this can only be seen on the live BR/DVD called BabyMetal Legend S. I have two favorite female vocalists. You found one with Babymetal and Su-Metal. The other one is a Philipino singer names Morissette Amon. I can't stress to you enough how much you NEED to listen to Morissette as well. She is AMAZING. She can ACTUALLY put Mariah Carey to shame in terms of vocal abilities. Seeing as I said that, I'd recommend watching her perform I Wanna Know What Love Is MYX Live! version. She also as sung Rise up, and Never Enough. She can also express emotions very well too, just like Su can, which I would point you to her song, Could You Be Messiah. Beautiful song. Anyhow, hopefully you check her out because I would be absolutely gobsmacked if you didn't fall in love her voice as well! Also, she doesn't do metal, so that might also make you a bit more comfortable.

I agree, people who dont want to join society should not be forced to do so, they are free to leave, but they cant: use roads, get any help economic or other sort, use hospitals, get help from police and all the things society makes. Its very selfish to not want to contribute to society but to want all the benefits from it.

When I found they sang the english version of "The One" for the First Take I just didn't bother listening to it - I don't like English version (her voice is good but honestly a lot of natural English speakers could maybe have done a better job - pls don't hit me :P) - but this was better than expected. Her voice is haunting in Japanese, crystal clear and unaccented though and I didn't turn to Japan to listen to English really. As for Monochrome - for me it's their best track (just), beautiful, souful, wistful - not enough superlatives for this for me - and all three versions are great. Good reaction!
