(Day 1) of 10 day Jet Ski Tour - PCB to Carabelle

- (DAY 1) Florida/Bimini Tour
On day 1 of 10, plans were to ride our skis from Panama City Beach to Carabelle. What a nice smooth beautiful ride it was going through the intercoastal area!
We had some nice scenery including dolphins and sunken boats on the way over to Apalachicola to have lunch with Ariceli (driver with trailer). This area had fuel and also multiple restaurants waterside with plenty of dock space.
Delicious food at Up the Creek Raw Bar and nice views with a comfortable seating area to get some good ol’ air conditioning.
As we hopped back on our skis to finish the 40 miles of our route, Kevin’s ski wouldn’t start. After trying to troubleshoot the ski, Kevin was unsuccessful to get his ski to start. Luckily our driver with the trailer wasn’t to far from us and able to turnaround to pick us up. I know it was pretty disappointing to not be able to finish the route but we will be back again.
Kevin was able to figure out that it was the starter . 2 days later he was able to fix it in the parking lot of our hotel. Now that’s a dang good shade tree mechanic for you without the tree … 😂

Well drive safe Florida is beutiful. I live out in long island ny . They a jet ski explosion tour 2 weeks ago around n.y.c. thousands of jet skis went out I didnt get to go have to work .

Panama City Beach has lots of intercoastal to ride. We also did the Destin to PCB a couple of years back. You can see the video on the channel.
Excited to see this and start following your journey - I know the video cut off but I am trying to understand how transport works in these situations - for example, do you have to hire a transport service to get your skis to the hotel and then back on the water the next day? Ooops, watched again, and think I see you are doing a day trip, then driving your vehicle to the next.
Yeah. My friends gf drive the truck with trailer to the next location and we load the skis there. One way trip.

Speaking of that starter…I was curious if there are recommendations for basic parts and tools to carry for a jet ski when taking long trips…or, I suppose in your vehicle just in case you experience problems. Make sense?
Every ski requires different size sockets. I recommend looking over your ski and collecting certain tools then putting them in a waterproof case so they don’t rust while keeping it on your ski. Example: most of my Seadoos require at T30 star bit and 10mm socket, etc.

Yes, I use it all the time!! Definitely need some tunes while on the water, it makes it extra enjoyable!

I’m not quite sure, I probably have about 140hrs. It’s hard to say. Just like when selling any vehicle “miles” play a factor in the listed price. So honestly I feel the average recreational rider probably puts only 25-35hrs per year on their ski. But I wouldn’t worry about it, just enjoy your ski and have fun!

Where can I get those headsets?
Dope vid. Love your channel huge fan ! I need your help. I went on the lake for about and hour and a half with my right drain plug open. 2021 sea doo fro 130 se. Once I remembered, I closed it and rode it for about and hour. I ran and revved the motor to ensure all of the water was out of the ski when we pulled it on the trailer. I do not see any water in the engine compartment under the seat and we did not sink while on the water. Is my ski ruined?
Thank you!! 🙏🏼….. so usually the newer skis don’t get water inside if you leave the drain plugs off, supposedly they are only one way to release water. If you didn’t see any water in the engine compartment or seen lots of water come out the drains when you pulled it out the water, I wouldn’t worry about it. Did it feel dry inside?
