Enjoyed this! Your slightly haphazard style is refreshing compared to lots of athletics TH-camrs. And yeah - this video really puts into perspective how difficult 9.58 is to break, doesn't it.
It is going to take something truly truly extraordinary to do it. Even Bolt himself only did this once. Basically I see young Bolt as different from older Bolt in a way that others were not. I think we missed out on something special from Gatlin.
@@roughlyestimated same I think 08 gatlin was going 9.65-7 range but yea I agree bolts peak was too high too get back close too Noah's pb is 9.79 an bolt was running that in 2015 9.79 way past his prime
never is crazy, but i would say around 20ish years. training, nutrition, and recovery will always get better and we saw a huge progression in this olympics as it was the fastest 100m final ever (in terms of how fast the slowest time was with all the other times aswell, with only one person running slower than 9.8 (9.92)), which this showed that sprinters are generally getting faster. so according to wr progression (before bolt broke it), 9.58 will be ran again in the early 2040's

@jojolords4523 bolt may or may not be tied for the fastest time Because the figures for his 60m split for that race is lowest 6.31 or equalling Su at 6.29. But what ever way you put it he still has top 2 fastest 60m starts of all time meaning he has no weakness making his 60m more impressive considering his size and what he does later on in the race 😎

I'm pretty sure if you make all splits wind adjusted (and altitude adjusted) Bolt is even more ahead. Bolt ran a 6.32 60m split in his 9.69 race with 0.0 wind 💀. That split matches the wind adjusted time of Bingtians wr 60m split. And I'm pretty sure a good amount of these split times had better wind than Bolt's wr
With all this team together this team is can beat bolt and it’s thanks for Su bingtian for creating a bigger gap since he’s been known for having the worlds fastest start. Bolt last 40m is just unstoppable but we will have another fastest 60m split in the 100m. The only men’s who can keep up with bolts top end speed has to be Tyson Gay or Lyles both can reach 27mph but bolts 27mph is faster. Lyles has a 27mph flat while Gay is either 27.3 or .5mph
This just emphasises how untouchable Bolt's 9.58 is. The only way to break this world record is either having a much higher top speed than Bolt (at least sub 0.80s/10m), or to record the best split for almost every 10m segment! That is just crazy and highly unlikely to happen in the near future
I don’t have Coleman. I think you might be right on baker. Same race as Bing. Gay I don’t have either. I have his windy 9.68 but decided not to include. I think you are correct though. Thank you for watching!
@@Final_Act that has nothing to do with split times. Su has the fastest 0-30 in history, which is completely irrelevant to the fact that Coleman likely has a faster 0-10 and Baker has a faster 10-20.
I should have mentioned. I discounted it because the split time was so uneven. Meaning he was v slow then v v fast. But my word that is an astute spot!
Not accurate. Lyles had the highest top speed in the Olympic final (per the televised BBC analysis showing the top speeds in km/h) and the supposed 0.81 10m split for Simbine suggests that it was Simbine...which we know is false.

Simbane was definitely a split error... because his prior split was too high and this one too low. Gay, I believe that was wind assisted so I left it out (we have integrity here at Roughly Estimated you know!). As for Jacobs... I don't have that split!!! Do you have it? @@wss33Hello. These splits come from high speed footage analysis, same way the 20m splits were taken.
