Class 08 Shunter @ GCR.

Interesting train shunt at Loughborough shed during the Great Central Railway's Winter Steam Gala on 27th January 2023. Class 08 diesel shunter 13101 eases Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 45305 into the shelter of the depot and returns to the shed yard.

The early ones had a maximum of 20mph and the later ones 27.5mph.!

This type of loco still has small general use in UK. This one is for tourist trains. Max speed 25 mph.
