    Just bought one of these today and i will say it works very well. I bought it on sale at $330 from best but and its MSRP is 450. I believe at this price poihnt you should definitely get wifi in an appliance. I have blueairs and other heaters/fans with wifi capabilities so i can have them set on a timer or on night mode and they come back on when needed and shark definitely should have done this. My only gripe really.

    These are pretty good but pricey. The oscillation gets janky over time and the heater should be improved upon to heat up the room rather than just a 2 to 3 degree warmer.

    Would like to see the Shark HP301 NeverChange against the Standard HC452!
    I like the oscillating and WIFI feature but don't need the cool/heat or remote features. Can it be programmed to turn on daily for 30 minutes?
    Which has the better filter between Standard HC452 and HC502? Filter Cost? Can you use the better filter on the either? The price appears to be about the same, so not sure which is best for just air purifying.

    Are you doing a best air purifier for 2024 video? I just picked up an HC-502 and would be interested in seeing how it compares to the best. I liked your review of the unit and so far am very impressed by its performance and versatility.

    My comment keeps getting deleted.
    I'm trying to say how interesting it would be to measure what air quality would be after making and testing the cheap DIY project of duck taping a box fan to a bunch of hepa filter screens into a square air purifier.
    Then compare the air quality and costs with the regular air purifiers that you've already reviewed.
    Could even try measuring different brands of hepa filter screens to see which one is most effective with the box fan trick.

    • @ModernCastle

      Not sure why your comments are being deleted. This is the first I've seen the comment.
      In any case, I absolutely agree and that's something we plan on creating / testing later this year. I'm really interested to see if it actually works as well as it seemingly should.

    • @ModernCastle
      @ModernCastle  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm not 100% sure, but generally when you're talking single digit trailing model differences between Shark models the difference is color and/or attachments and/or retailer exclusivity (suffice to say...basically nothing).

    • @ModernCastle
      @ModernCastle  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We haven't tested that model, but I would guess performance is going to be similar to the model featured in this video.
      For just 300 sq. ft. I would think it would do a fine job if you put it in the middle of the room and keep it on high.

    I recently found out that the the dorm I am going to live in for my first year in college tends to have mold build up, no Air Conditioning, and is not very clean in general. Everyone always recommends an air purifier, but I am also looking to cool the space which is around 300 square feet, so I'm having trouble deciding on a product that either combines the purifying+cooling feature, or getting them separately. I looked at the Dyson ones, but my research showed that they are great for cooling, but don't purify the air too well. Would you recommend either of these Shark products from this video or something else?

    • @ModernCastle
      @ModernCastle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would actually say the opposite is true of Dyson...cooling is just fine (as it's just a fan, no active AC), while purification is excellent...but the whole thing is more expensive than many other options.
      All that said, I do think the Shark 3-in-1 is a much better overall option if you need the cooling performance. This feels like an obvious choice for your needs.

      It's as good as any other space heater I've used. It's not a miracle worker, but for small to mid-sized rooms it makes a sizable impact.
