Wonderful ! Interesting to watch the two lady pilots navigating the massive A 380 with such confidence and the smooth landing. Congratulations to both of you.
The joystick isn't actually controlling the aircraft. The joystick movement signals are sent to computer software management, which send the necessary instructions to the target aircraft part. Case in point: I recently read an article about Airbus testing an A350. Immediately upon takeoff the test pilot tried to turn off one of the engines. The computers overrode his command. He also tried to do some unconventional braking and dipping. He was overridden again.

Of course I know that the side stick is simply a manner of communicating to the aircraft’s electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, which *actually* are responsible for operating the flight control surfaces. However, the device that I was using in my comment (juxtaposition) serves a rhetorical purpose, which you’ve entirely missed in your compulsion to try to make yourself look smart.
Really appreciate how they mention "a lot of traffic" but then the quick reassuring smile. Professional concern and an appreciation of the Beauty of flight. At 53:17 TWO airliners almost directly above them! Reminds me of the Bomber streams of B-17's and B-24's that flew over Europe during WWII. Another reminder of just how crowded the sky can get and the trained Professionals needed to navigate it. My Compliments.
My father was the pilot of the B-24s but was shot down over Italy because the navigator said they were over natural Switzerland. Father and co-pilot were both expectant fathers due in September, so they named the plane September Pops with the picture of a stork delivering it's baby (a bomb held by a diaper). It's the one and only war where America was the good guy dropping bombs.
@@christopherjones8025 Flightradar24 does usually show a LOT of traffic to and from Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Qatar, etc. They tend to be major Tourist destinations. Still. That video was so unreal.

2 Ladies in the front Pilot's seats. Just awesome. I need to show this to my daughter. I plan to visit Abu Dhabi. I hope these ladies are piloting the plane. No offense to Men. I have travel domestic and international a lot and never seen 2 females in the cockpit.
Was scheduled to board Etihad flight January 30, but the Covid19 pandemic surge in New York destroyed my dream, watching this video in awe and amazement. Hope to fly again in the future after travel restrictions are removed.
Excellent video. Loved every minute. Had a sleepless night so watched this to pass a couple of hours, well worth watching. Superb presentation! I live out in rural Hungary and see Etihad A380's flying overhead every day, so it was really great to see what it looks like from the other side! Thank you, Sophia and Shaima, for being so informative, entertaining, and above all, completely professional. It's really weird that an all female crew is still seen as being 'A Thing'! There's nothing new or unusual in seeing women pilots, women have been flying aircraft since the dawn of aviation. My major takeaway from this vid is how advanced the A380 cockpit is. So much information, presented in a simple and understandable manner. Obviously a lot has gone into the design of the overall systems displays and crew interaction. Such a shame that the A380 didn't work out - it's a superb aircraft. Long may it continue to fly!
It is amazing how focused she is on her instrumentations that's incredible it's not like driving a car to where you have to look out where you're going you trust the equipment inside the aircraft totally amazing. Very accomplished women the amount of training and speaking different language just an amazing group of ladies that are taken us to different locations around the world continued success thank you.
Thank you for a beautiful video! My son works for Airbus at their plant at Saint Eloi in in Toulouse where all the wing pylons are produced for the whole Airbus range. He worked on the final A380 pylons. So much emotion in this video.
It would be great if more companies made their engineers and staff see exactly how the parts they work on come together in the end. The A380 is a magnificent airplane.

Traffic stacked three high crazy seen side by side a lot but stacked three high and that close must be common in that area .
