The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The Congregation also staffs rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.
Young, orthodox, manly warrior priests like this are what will bring the one true faith back to it's glory. Pray for priests.
I heard Fr Jewel speak when he did a Eucharistic Revival talk in Oshkosh WI, He spoke so highly of the Virgin Mary, things I never heard & I didn’t understand. (I am relatively new to the faith) but now I’m on day 8 of 33-Day Marian Consecration. Thanks Father Jewel for planting the seed of reverence for our Mother in Heaven!!

I was never taught the Beatific Vision in all my years by the church. My grandmother called it this. She passed in 1978.

God does not give friends and family. We choose those things.
I agree that the giver of sentiment is paramount, but some of those that receive know no gratefulness.
And by that I must admit that God has given me much and I have been ungrateful. I have been disrepectful because he has given me life and continues to every day.
There is much more to this life than being fruitful and because I am around those that are not Christian, I must find myself without a family.
I am around those that are not Christian because those in many churches are not as well, but they judge without authority.
But that doesn't mean that God has not provided many ways to enjoy the gift he has given.
I will just have to be without people and simply make my way with God instead.
Thank you Rev Fr Jewel for such an uplifting & encouraging homily. We must indeed spend more time with God & have a more intimate relationship with God. Recently I have found myself having spontenous conversation with Jesus, Mary & Joseph & singing Praise to The Holy Spirit. These are truly 'FEEL GOOD' moments. God bless you.❤

One problem for me. I let MY life get in the way of God. It's crazy because I know God and his word and his church are what's best for me. But I put that on the back burner to get what I feel comfortable at the time. I'm trying to rid myself of drugs, alcohol, sin, lies. It seems to much for me to handle to be sober. It seems to be too much for me to do the right thing.
Ask help from the Lord himself. I am Praying with you.
It sounds as though you need to surround yourself with people that don't those things then get help. You can't change on your own, but you can decide on your own what is best for you. Pray, read the gospels, and go to church. You're being too judgmental on yourself. That just brings you down and discourages you. May the Lord give you strength to succeed. God bless you.
As the magi approached Herod the guiding star disappeared. The star reappeared when they left Herod. Lesson: stay at Herod's no guiding star leave Herod's place the star reappears.
